Michael Pettigrew obviously forgot about this when he tried to take on Brad Ottens in the 2007 Grand Final and got run down by him.

With Ablett they say he would have won 4 premierships as a hawk in the 80s. I say maybe even 5 as a hawk as we run out of puff in the final quarter in the 84 gf. Ablett would have made the difference. So I see Ablett as a hawk winning 5 80s gfs. In the 90s they won in 91. With Ablett I see them potentially winning it in 92 and 93 also. 8 potential premierships there.

Those Eagles were so great to watch. Lewis and Mainwearing are both in consideration for the Best 18 I've seen. Heady, McIntosh and Matera were favs as well. Now compare this to the trash served up now...

I went with a North friend to watch at the Railway Hotel, Windsor where it was shown live. I had a Quaddie going (which l got) and barely saw any of it apart from the last few minutes. Was elated to win but have no doubt North wooda put up a much better fight if they'd have won thru to play the Eagles.

01:30 I’m interested to know about real life incidents like this, moments of solidarity and detente where soldiers out in No Man’s Land decided it wasn’t worth it, or just had moments of empathy for the other poor bastards on the other side

I was at this game and it was a beauty . Sydney had the chance to win but Fitzroy were too strong . The funniest part of the game was when Capper took a mark over Pert in front of goal , but then lost the plot after Pert sledged him about his then GF.

I was there. Eagles absolutely killed us in the Prelim and wooda done so if they'd won thru against Hawks. I'm not a stats person but one of the most amazing ones for me is that Eagles won every season at KP from 90-94 and Cats wooda started Fav in every single one of those games - just an absolute Super-Side.

Thanks for uploading. Reminiscing the days when you could 'boo', when the cheer squads had streamers that they waved after their teams scored a goal, when you could take your esky in and you could tell the umpire you disagree with his decision. Now if you do anything like this security guards surround you.
