How is he so much better at defeating lower rated players than his super GM colleagues are?

Good timing! I just started playing 1.d4 (Colle Zukertort), and against 1..Nf6 I’m gonna Tromp them to avoid the KID.

Also why can't the black rook take the white rook and then the game continues??? Wtf

Nice video I learnt quite a bit especially with how you want to trade if you’re going to end up with more active pieces. I’d like to see some lessons on the nimzo Larsen attack 1. b3 cheers

This was perfect timing. I have recently started looking at 1.g3 and have not been able to find much available on this opening. I will definitely be using some of the ideas mentioned in this video.

I love the Mad Dog/Kholmov! No one seems prepared for it at the <2000 level. There’s also a fun queen sac (for 3 minors) line, where instead of castling, Nc6 is played. Then e5, Nxe4, PxN, NxQ, PxB, Rg8, NxN, RxP… 🙏🙏

@@SHADOWDRAGON2039 If I was gna bet on a horse, yeah. Pretty good though. Give it a go, it's free mostly. After you've messed about and created your own enough times you start to recognise the tell-tale signs.

Well, I didn't get it. For some reason I was stuck on trying to use the Knight to attack the king.

True, that's exactly what I got taught in an endgame course from GM Igor Smirnov

Hi Max! I know you're not getting that many views nowadays, but i just wanted to say that i REALLY appreciate your videos and have learnt way more from you than any other person on the internet. Please do not stop making videos, your content is so instructive and it's only a matter of time before people start realising it. From one of your most loyal viewers... thank you ❤

Is this different from the chesspersonality test 10 years ago?
@amuricuh614312 күн бұрын
They added more personalities, removed pretty much all the old questions, especially the position questions. And replaced most famous GM players for crappy influencers

This game shows not only brilliant play by Magnus, but also brilliant instruction by GM Max. For those trying to improve their game, I would definitely recommend watching GM Max's videos.

Love the AI imagery including several completely new pieces such as the Qight, as well as the rare and elusive white-pawn-with-black heads, which can be moved by either player

Python strategy looks good. Slowly squeeze the opponent to death, no dramatic sacrifices. When did you start playing chess, Max? I'm guessing around 8 years old? Who's your favourite top player? I'm following some amazing games of Paul Morphy from the 19th century.

Idea for an opening video. Is the delayed Schlieman sound? I saw Pragg get a great position against Vidit, but I don't know enough about the opening to know if there are great lines for white. I'm looking for a ruy defense and I bet many others are too
