Looks great, easy installation, easy to clean and not expensive. Please do remember that PVC emits lots of (very) dangerous fumes in case of a fire. A smoke detector is no luxury, especially when asleep 💤

I never touch the decompression levers, it fires up within 10 seconds, I have the cold start switch on a cable, to allow me to use it from the cockpit, I only use it for the first start of the day, after that it fires without a problem. I have two batteries onboard, both kept topped up by a 50w solar panel on a dual battery controller, I think the batteries are roughly 80 - 100ah, nothing massive or fancy, just car batteries. I give it 1/4 throttle and pull the cold start switch on.

Fair play nice job, because of the gap above could you have stuck 10 or 15 mm foam above, it would save a lot of heat in winter, but saying that would it be too warm in summer ?. anyway, it looks great well done.

Use this product a lot. There's U shaped edging strip you can use for the cut ends We put them on first and they tuck into the profile giving a nice finish . It also holds the strip in position either side when you are working. Thought about putting the same on my 25 searay but this stuff attracts condensation big time. Looks nice though keep up the good work

Great video. I am doing this on my Westerly during this winter. Can I ask please.....when finishing the cut ends of the boards adjacent to the hatch, did you use any particular type of trim? Have you done anything to the side walls which the windows are fitted into - the roof lining on mine follows on down the walls? Finally, have you done anything in the front cabin?...my headlining in there is hanging off and in need of some attention. Many thanks for putting this out on social media. Its really helpful. Top man!

So far it’s been ok, we get a little condensation above the cooker with the kettle on, but it’s been fine on the rest of the roof, it’s a twin wall system with a 10mm air gap, I did think about putting camping mat above it, but we lift the boat out from October till May, the cost of real wood and ongoing maintenance put us off, this stuff just needs a wipe down.👍

Hello, greetings, I am Spanish and I do not know your language, I translate with google so excuse me if there is a misinterpretation, I found this video searching on youtube, I am in the process of buying this boat, Westerly Centauro 26, I would like to know your opinion for a Navigation through the Mediterranean, my navigation plan is coastal, and family, trips at most two or 3 days 3 people, .. what interior height it has, and what advice could you give me, .. thank you very much

I’ve not used her yet for an overnight, but the condensation was minimal from the kettle, and it’s twin wall so probably offers a little bit of insulation. It’s doesn’t seem any worse than Vinyl.

@@THENAVIGAT0R excellent mate it would transform my boat and am just in the process of finding a solution. I'm sure I could pop up a little insulation above it anyway. Your system looks great and its a fraction of the price of the foam-backed vinyl stuff.

@@damienduggan9060 As you can see in the video, I used the same material for the cross ribs, so I have a minimum of 10mm clearance if I’d wanted some insulation above, if I have any problems, it’s an easy job the drop the panels down and put some Tesco camping mat in there.

@ifitfloatsyourboatsail5844

Hi, really easy prep, it was bare gelcoat, so I sanded it with a machine and 120 grit pads to provide a key, then i put 2 coats of paint straight on, one after the other, coffee break in between, no primer used.
