I think it would be fitting if after causing Zeus to attack them, Eury would blame himself rather than Ody for the situation, and would put himself between Ody and the crew in a “it’s my fault, not his” sort of way. Perhaps he also knows that there’s no point going against Zeus, and would choose to protect his friend instead of having him die along with everyone else. Eury is the voice of the crew, and wants to keep them alive and well. When his actions pretty directly lead to their deaths, it’s believable that he would be affected by that, and may act abnormally. If you can call loyalty to Ody abnormal. But either way: this is an animation about a song about a story about a myth. There is no right answer more solid than simply what people can believe. The closest we’ll have to the “correct” answer here is whatever Jorge says is right. I personally could see it going either way, but I’d like to think Eury’s last action is something better than trying to kill Ody in spite.
