I'm thinking Smith and Wesson should have some additional demand as a result of this. There will be a lot of collateral damage from all this "research"

Not just long, you can also cover locations where you simply cannot go as a human. Drone based inspections are really changing industries. THIS is the way to make innovation. Not just the 300 millionth D2C online shop.

Combine this with the doglike qualities from the Sony AIbo ERS-1000 and you have yourself one amazon robotic dog.

All these seniors are just trying more than what the human eye could see, AI could be the ending to humanity in the long run. Maybe not within the next 50 years but in the future it could, exciting for us now well who knows down the road when “it” has a mind of its own. All hell break loose.

That is a great request. We have started development of several commercial applications in security and construction. Should have something in a month. What would people like to see developed?
@ericwallentine61194 ай бұрын
@@DonGarland I would like to see robots learning to emulate tasks such as cooking a meal, etc. I am in home health and having a robotic aid to help around the house would be huge and more cost effective for seniors. Currently, 24-hour care is over $20k per month. Should be able to lease a pretty good robot for much less. Still a ways to go . . . but robots need to replace people in these roles to bring costs down.

no competitor, because they stole the tech from Boston dynamics. when you steal the tech without lawsuits, you can go far if you can use your source of china to make it cheaper

Thanks for putting this video together! I really enjoyed it! Unitree has a great line of robot dogs. One of the benefits I like most is the robot dog can also move on stairs and cross obstacles, compared to robots on wheels which are limited.

Yeah but does it have the same capability of the Boston Dynamics.
@DonGarland6 ай бұрын
Actually, Unitree's B2 is better in almost every way. Speed (1.6 m/sec vs 6 m/sec), IP rating (IP54 vs IP67) temperature extremes (up to 45C vs 55C), climbing/descending (30 degrees vs 45 degrees) battery life (90 min vs 5 hours) Payload capacity (14Kg vs 40Kg). Both have open API for developers to write code. The Unitree B2 is the latest in technology. BD's Spot is getting a bit dated. Boston Dynamics developed it, got it to market then sold it to Hyundai.

I could see these taking off if they increase payload capacity, battery life, and the ability to understand complex commands. Imagine if it could carry groceries while following behind you in a store. If it had an arm module you could then tell it what to grab and then return back to you to pay. Guess that won’t be for quite a while though.
@DonGarland7 ай бұрын
You can do that today with the Unitree B2 and later this year with the H1 but the cost would be prohibitive for this shopping application. If this was a manufacturing or construction application, the payback would be pretty fast.
@ulforcemegamon30945 ай бұрын
There is a version (the Unitree B2) that has all of the things You mention , but is way more expensive , so it has a prohibitive cost
