I always find the rubber band AI in this game hilarious, as it slingshots past the player on a corner and slams directly into a wall.

The BF has always held a special place in my heart as well ever since I first saw this sleek, magnificent, technological marvel on F-Zero X and I've been in love her ever since.

What about the Falcon Mk-II? From what I've heard, it's one of the better machines in Maximum Velocity (aside of the Jet Vermillion, that is).

Great video! But why did you ignore Night Thunder though? It was second best in X but it switched spots with Blood Hawk in GP Legend, and it was still on par with Dragon Bird GT because of it's speed retention being one of the best aside from Twin Norrita's and it's grip, even though it wasn't as effective as Crazy Bear's Outside of GX, it always was at least a top 5 machine.

Here's to hoping you do the same for all the machines, but in particular the crazy bear ;) For GX in particular it might be worth noting how machines were designed for casual play, e.g wild goose is probably intended to use higher acceleration to strengthen the short boost and get speed out of its unique handling, not just advanced play.

I always find The Skull a very interesting character, a man that rose from the dead, just to race again!

Great analysis on the Blue Falcon from all the games display here. The machine will remain iconic.. (even though I use Golden Fox in 99)

How do you stay at such a high speed consistently?

Meant to say something for a while now but it seems you've upped to 60 frames and it's immediately noticeable (looks good). Did you figure out a solution on what you were going to do for these videos? Wanted to say you were running into space constraints to keep backups.

The rubberbanding on that first lap is insane. Can you see how fast the CPU tries to catch up after you do the shortcut?!

That's my Vehicle of choice for GP Legend. Also one little detail I love about this game is the fact that the red and white stripes on the Blue Falcon's equalizing fins turn left and right just like in the SNES F-Zero game. A detail I would love to see return in an entirely new F-Zero game. 😄
