I can't say for others, but as an Asian man myself who grew up in England, I have seen the ugly side of the coin. Even in this day and age, there is still racism. I have had people jump queue in front of me at supermarkets when there is a full line of people. My input at work seems less persuasive compared to my colleague though I have the answers. There are some people who refuse to acknowledge Asians. It's like watching the Olympics, how many times have you seen the Asian gold medalist coverages on live TV, but the Western bronze winners are being shown over and over. I once read an article that talks about the downplay of Asian men in TV and movies. They always portray us as shady, no good, and inferior compared to somebody White. My social life, work opportunities, and attempts to get into a relationship always have put me at a disadvantage because of my race. I once had a chick reject me with the reason "Asian body is crap."

Alot of stereotypes are sadly earnt and its not racist to say that. I grew up in a very racially diverse town. Never had issues with the Chinese community, the sikh community, the Hindu community, the black British community.... only Asian Muslims and Islamic Africans . Everyone else, if there was an issue, thier own would police thier own. If they come here to just live thier life, integrate, learn the language, they're already doing the best they can.
