To be honest the difference was pretty insignificant. If you really think about it, paying $2500 more for a Gibson than a $500 Vintage that is pretty much the same thing is a really bad deal. Unless it’s more important what’s on the headstock than what it sounds like. Played many Gibsons and i was not impressed, and iv’e played lots of guitars during my 20+ years of recording, gigging and touring.

The Gibson has it, but then it costs about eight times as much as the Vintage. The Vintage is about 80% as good as the Gibson, for 10-15% of the price. Great bang for your buck. I’ve had several and they were all very good guitars for an excellent price.

The problem with people is they always listen for the clarity and sustain. That's not the point. The only thing that matters is the overall vibe. This time Vintage sounds more legit.

Now it all makes sense. Traben and Bc Rich are made by the same parent company. Unless your name Kerry King. Then you are literally spending money on beginner instruments
@robsantorobass6 ай бұрын
As someone who has owned a Traben in the past, I strongly disagree. Tone and build quality were solid. The neck was a bit wider than I’d prefer but that’s a matter of preference. All in all though, they were really nice instruments. It’s a shame they aren’t being made anymore.

Love the look and sound of my v100 GT with p90s, only thing that trips me up is the finish, I just can't get past it sometimes. I think i'm gonna have my luthier sand down the neck for me next time I take it in for repair because I'm not stoked about poly finishes, just my two cents. That alone might make people spring for a Gibson over this, the fact that it doesn't have a nitro finish as so many other guitars in this price point don't.
@thomastucker56862 жыл бұрын
I don't know the reason but the Gibson was way louder which made it impossible for me to compare.

How do you tune a 7 string bass groove tools by conklin?
@pbasswil Жыл бұрын
You can tune it how you like, but if you're not going to tune it all in fourths from the B string up to a top F, you can lower the top two strings by a semitone, and then you have a regular guitar tuning for the top 6 (down an octave, of course), plus the low B below. If you also play some guitar, it can be really fun to apply your guitar chord shapes - especially up the neck where they don't sound too muddy.

The Vintage sounded not bad but the Gibson took it for me. Just had a bit more cut to it, if you wanted to warm the sound you could easily roll off the tone knob a bit. Would be interesting to hear how they would be with the same pickups though.

Hi, I have a little trouble trying to connect the TRE-VERB in a particular way... maybe someone know the solution... I was trying to connect this pedal to a two of my amps, using its FX loops. From the AMP 1, I send a cable from "send" (FX loop) to input 1 on the pedal. From the output 1 of the pedal, I sent a cable to the "return" (FX loop) of Amp 1. I made the same thing with the other amp, using the input 2/output 2 of the pedal. But it doesnot work. I think this pedal has only a stereo outputs, but not a stereo inputs.

As you can see in my photo I own a 2011 Made in Vietnam V 100 I heard many comparisons something about the Vintage really captures that traditional Les Paul sound maybe its the Seth Lover inspired PAF's on the Wilkinson but when I had my guitar setup the tech said this after and being a Les Paul owner, I see why Gibson is pissed off lol, your guitar is a Les Paul but at a fraction of the price lol

Why are people comparing Gibson and Epiphone to Vintage, a brand that offers a one year warranty. If you can’t afford a Gibson, buy an Epiphone that has a lifetime warranty? I wonder If this guy will offer to fix your Vintage after five years when the finish starts developing horrible cracks.
@oldschool11073 жыл бұрын
Well my local store provides 3 year warranty for all of their products so it's actually more about what a store provides than the brand itself.

Isn't it a bit weird to do an amp review, and actually don't show the possibilities, or anything ? It is not so relevant to listen to OD and reverb pedals (without even knowing what are they...), and not to the amp's tube crunch... Thanks anyway !
