As far as paint goes, that's why i stick with Tamiya spray cans. You don't have to do 4+ light passes with it. Tamiya isn't prone to running, so first coat I "dust" it lightly then let it sit for about 4-5 minutes and then let her rip. One good coat with Tamiya and it's always perfect.

Yeah I hear you on that, I only use Tamiya and Humbrol now , the cheap stuff has caused me no end of trouble with reacting and crinkling, and cracking, pitting, and all sorts, its worth just getting decent paint at the start and getting it done right once

@@scalestuff1066 Bo and Luke have the same surname, yes. That's because their dads were brothers. Also it's nice to see a Brit that understands the Virginia Battle Flag is nothing more than a military emblem. Loved the video btw, definitely gonna use it as a guide when I pick up this kit. @@scalestuff1066 Appreciate the advice, my friend. I'm gonna try to find an orange that's slightly darker than the one you went with, but that's honestly the only criticism I have of your work and it's so minuscule it doesn't even matter. Just out of curiosity, where did you find the decals?
@scalestuff1066
@scalestuff1066 8 күн бұрын
I think the proper orange was TNT orange, like the removal trucks? was watching a guy who made them for the show and they got a load of it cheap, but yeah could be slightly light, theres some odd "scale" effect to models, I can never remember which way round it is, think its the smaller the scale the slightly darker the color. The decals I had to ship in from the states I posted a link to the ebay sore on a comment on this video, there where two sets I ended up getting and the cheap ones where clear and I never ended up using them

What a great review, thanks! I’m thinking about getting this car, my first in the hobby… specially after watching your review where you explain this is a good option for beginners. Now, please excuse my sincere expression, I’m “drooling” over how great and beautiful your white car looks. As a beginner, may I ask about the aesthetic improvements you did to it? My main question is, I have looked up similar accessories (roof rack, roof lights, limb risers, front bumper, etc), and I always seem to find that these accessories are compatible with “1/10 crawler TRX4” models… and the “TRX4” part gets me all confused. I don’t know if those parts will only fit Traxxas models (and therefore not this Carisma vehicle), or are they fairly generic and will fit any 1/10 model (including this Carisma SCA-1E)? How can I look for parts that will fit this vehicle?

I got most of my add on's as cheap amazon buys to be honest, I checked the measurements against the roof, the light bar on mine came with the roof rack as one unit. Anything you screw on yourself will likley fit, bumpers are tricky on this model as its the two pin system and most bumpers wont fit on it. the wheels i was given second hand they where on ebay as camel trophy wheels. Other bits to check are the thread types for wheels as they tend to be fixed sized and threads, a quick google of the charisma scal 1e after parts should give more info on this. sorry thats not the greatest of helps my car is abit of a mis match of parts now
