I love the Liturgy of the Hours. Some days if I'm busy, I'll just do the morning and Evening prayers. I bought the first Volume last year for Advent, but it was too hard to keep up. I already have the Christian Prayer Breviary adapted to a routine, after using Shorter Christian prayer to train with a group before moving on the full single Breviary. That would be my suggestion if you want to get to the Liturgy of the Hours, use Shorter Christian Prayer. Thank you Father and God bless!

You are right in saying the passage you quoted is in Mark's Gospel. I think it is in the 6th chapter where Jesus tell His Apostle to come away to a deserted place and He will find rest for his souls. He then enters a boat, but the crowd just went around and chased Him and still wanted Jesus to talk to them, Nancy OFS
