I lived for 2 years near the park (teacher in a school in Nakuru) and did over 100 game drives in that time in side the Park. I knew the territories of about 15 black rhinos and the 3 lion prides. With a good eye, and an early game drive, I managed to spot 2 couples of striped hyenas quite regularly (one near Lanet gate, one in the South of the Park) as well as a family of bat eared foxes by the Southern lake shore. I had also about 30 leopard sightings. The white rhinos and giraffes were most commonly seen in the Southern part of the park. the birdlife was incredible, with about 150 species spotted. There were not many flamingoes when I was there as Nakuru experienced heavier than usual rains, which caused the chemistry of the water to change. It is great to see that they are back.

@@AyomaLives yes, that's what they call them in the UK and Americas. Cottages are period houses, like the ones in Karen. This has a tepee/ wooden tent style hotel almost like camping. We call it glamping. A glamping holiday park lol You're welcome
