That shields down warbling sound is one of the reasons I don't like flying armour ships. Annoys me too.

Really enjoying taking part of Self sufficient Steves adventures :D I usually come back to EVE every 3-4 years and play for a month or two, so I pretty much start over each time as well :P (OK, I tend to use my old char but always try to figure out how to steer my ship like a n00b every time...) Please keep those videos coming. Really, really nice to watch

Love this series, gonna try this challenge too. So cool to actually play the game instead of living of the billions already made and being able to buy everything in an instance. Can't wait for the next episode! Subbed and liked!

Really enjoying the series. I'm doing something similar starting from Minmatar (inspired by Corvette to Cynabal). It's been a challenge - I've had to start from scratch a couple of times and the RNG was really brutal to begin with. I'm over the bump now and starting to make headway with a decent manufacturing set up.

for anyone really taking to the corvette to anything challenge. train thermodynamics. yes the freshly build guns will need repair but the extra punch can help early on. the burned out civilian afterburner can just be replaced for free. From BPOs (Blue Print Originals) there can be made copies so called BPCs (Blue Print Copy). So if a player owned station seems to dodgy to use a several month researched and expensive BPO in it, then make a copy of it with how many runs you want and take the BPC to that station instead. in my RP .. lets just say I choose pain and have to be very frugal with m3 space. only use industry from nullsec NPC stations or Thera while not living out of these stations. BPCs are crucial for me. If I got blown up an alt will scoopup one of the backup small secure containers, which holds an entire frigate hull with fit in form of BPCs and compressed materials in meta modules and rest materials, salvage and PI. Anyway scout the nearest industry Nullsec or thera station and anchor it at a safe in the system. The capsule from the hole or home station flies to the station, gets in a corvette, scoops the container and builds in the station. once finished take everything outside back into the hole. the whole logistics puzzle of it all is on another level and it is a challenge alright, especially facing evictions as easy prey and not finding a good hole. Long story short. BPCs are great. and have a look at what you scrap. For example 500mn modules have tonns of tritanium compressed into. so might be worth saving for hauling minerals around as compressed ore in these kind of challenges are usually out of reach for a long time.

Quite annoying actually this "magic", to me its already a meme since everybody throws it at you. And its sooo important too. And for some reason im not interested in dailys anymore (that is with the skinarrrg (tf) update). And welcome to the alpha club!

Sometime between episode 1 and today I resubbed after 2 years away. I blame you. There’s nothing else like Eve though, I’m having a blast.

I can't believe how quickly this ep went by. Pretty sure that's a good thing. There's something about playing EVE like this that's strangely appealing.

I think the auto attack of drones can loose you the support of Concord if needed. Be careful. Scenario: mule in space, ganker attacks the mule, drone attacks ganker on auto, ganker can kill you without fear of Concord showing up in Hi-Sec.

I know I'm super late to the party but truly amazing video. I've now decided to train into the Tempest. Trying to rack up enough isk to be able to buy and fit one! I know it's a lot to ask for, but do you by chance have an alpha friendly/friendlier fit for it? I might be able to make some tweaks myself but I wanted to hear what you might suggest, I like the way this one plays a lot.

I was playing the game a while back with very similar rules as this, but I would allow myself to mine. My rule for mining was that I could only do it with an actual mining ship, such as a venture or a mining barge. Of course, I had to build the Venture myself and all the ship mods.

Love the eve challenges. Gives me more ideas on how to freshen up the game. Keep it up and fly safe o7

You can repair your corvette for 0 cost in npc stations. Also tether up at player stations you have docking rights for repair. Both only repair the ship, Not the modules

Do-It-Yourself style challenges are always fun. I still have a DIY omega character with a little looser restrictions than you are using, but still zero player interaction (market or otherwise). It is extremely satisfying to make your own stuff from scratch, just like it was back in 2003!

Yes! Am doing a variation of corvette 2 cynabal myself. different goal and different self imposed rules, primarily also SSF without trading stations. I don't know if I will make the goal. the first milestone of getting prototype cloaking was an adventure in itself. no mining rule - will be a bit hard as some stuff will need morphite like prototype cloaking device which are not really a t2 module but needs it none the less (only real source mexocite or pvp reprocessing droped t2 modules). Or needing isotopes (ice), fullerenes (gas) and moon minerals. Gun mining only goes so far, so be flexible to make some exceptions in the spirit of what ever RP challenge. For me it is reactions, I don't mind the grind but having several months of work within one Athanor is just one too large sand castle for others to easily kick over. I'm not that naive to think that I could defend it, so am opting for grinding the materials out and ISK for the BPOs and with that negotiate access like a hermit from the mountains negotiating with the valley towns folk to get access to their infrastructure. Maybe I will be naive enough one day to go for the orca for the Shiphangar as it would perfectly fit in the more nomadic ruleset ... but it is a loot of materials and BPO isk ... it might be too big a killboard padding pinata. I have a no mission rule but had to add the exception that it is ok for LP and faction stuff. But I might change my mind as the billion needed for just the athanor BPO is a lot of raw ISK. Also keep in mind that it is EVE, others might not respect the RP and go out of their way to grief. Which is fine.

How do you build anything if you dont mine and you cant buy ore? Thus should be fun to watch! Great idea there is another bootstrap playthrough i have been watching off and on. Very interrsting idea. Ahh ok you can reprocess that makes sense. This will be very fun to watch!

Cade, reprocess the stripped ship components. don't trash them

YES, another bootstrap challenge! Been watching Tabarnouche Interplanetary building a Cynabal challenge and love it. Couple tips that you may already know... The loot drops in the belts are WAY more common, close to 100% - the combat sites are terrible for drops. Also, fixing, rather than scrapping and rebuilding your corvette, is free and quicker as long as non of your modules (or drones) are damaged.

This feels very much like the Cruzakh challenge. Looking forward to it!

You should consider flagging the wrecks as "free for all" if you don't want to salvage them. Everybody should do this, so others can use the stuff without getting flagged for PVP.
