They should replace materials , change the aluminum by magnesium alloy. It’s more expensive but not for much, it will burn in the atmosphere.

I personally believe NASA and the FAA don’t want SpaceX to fly until Boeing brings the astronauts back! Did the FAA open any investigations on Boeing? I find it interesting the the US government would be so willing to launch a problematic ship into space and how quickly they are willing to approve the Boeing space ship!
@AmbientMorality8 сағат бұрын
The FAA is responsible for rocket launches because those fly in US airspace, potentially over people. The FAA is not responsible for payloads in space. Falcon 9 is already approved by the FAA for return to flight.

It sounds like all the, "good employees," left because they couldn't handle the crazy hours and hard work. He's pushing hard to make Starship work. It looks like he might actually make fully rapid reusability a reality. Elon's definitely a strange cat, but he's always been extremely innovative and driven. They're likely leaving because now that they've worked at SpaceX, they can make way more to do much less elsewhere. SpaceX will be fine. For every person that leaves SpaceX, there are hundreds of qualified applicants dying to get in. Elon has a habit of proving the world wrong. Everyone said he was crazy when he started Tesla. Same thing with SpaceX and Falcon 9. He's a dreamer with a F***-ton of money. He's not done by a long shot.
@troublemethis172 күн бұрын
@@scott6129 so how much does being on the social media PR team pay? just like trump fooling non-New Yorkers into thinking he was a successful real estate guy by appearing in movies via free permits to use his properties in exchange for cameos... elon just puts out PR to music as if he's saying something profound instead of the fact that he has bad hair-implants and is a socially awkward trust fund weirdo that never engineered anything. not to mention how down the tubes tesla and twitter have gone since he shot off his mouth about buying it... forcing him to pay through the nose. genius indeed.
@troublemethis172 күн бұрын
@@scott6129 they've told me he's a nut job directly. i would've thought being a trust fund baby that never engineered anything and tanked tesla and twitter stock after overpaying for it in the first place should've been enough of a clue. but hey, if you fell for the PR campaign, you just keep going about your business...

SpaceX has landed hundreds of boosters and recovered fairings on earth instead of having them crash back to earth as do all other launch systems polluting our oceans with debris and chemicals. Surely, that errant little bit of space trash will be taken care of in short order by SpaceX.

FAA è molto severa con Space-X mentre è troppo indulgente con Boeing, visto che ha permesso il lancio di una capsula con equipaggio che aveva problemi già prima della partenza. É un problema politico?

2:35 "too much frankly" that sound a lot like a personal oppinion to me. Maybe you should chill out on the anti-SpaceX rhetoric and explain why there's no FAA investigation into your beloved Starliner which can't garrentee a safe return to earth.

Good presentations are supposed to be a bit like that: "I'll tell you what I'm going to tell you, then I'll tell you, then I'll tell you what I've told you." Introduction: give headlines. Main body: Headlines plus detail. Conclusion: headlines again this time with summary. It sounds a bit boring and even repetitions said like that, but it is basically correct.
