This is really good editing for such a low number of subs but I think that the pacing could be better and a little more streamlined

For sure, I appreciate you saying that. It’s just a re-cap so I slapped some footage together and talked about my experience. I think keeping people informed and up to date on my actual documentary is more important than a story I would have to make up in an edit.

Sigma 30mm @ f1.4, no ND filter. Sick lens for something pretty natural. Otherwise I’ll reach for the Sigma 56mm 1.4. 23.8fps at 1/48. ISO anywhere between 800 (low dual base iso) or 3200 (won’t go above it before adding noise reduction) White balance to taste, but usually sit in the 5600k range for outdoors.

I think what you are doing is going to be extremely beneficial for airsoft especially in Canada, but even globally. There is plenty of game footage out there, but not much of this "behind the scenes" type of stuff. This could be big, and I appreciate the time and effort this takes to create something like this and actually bring it to life. Can't wait to see more!
@jondoeslifestuffАй бұрын
I believe it will be something finally showcased to people who have and haven’t heard of the sport in a way that talks about the challenges and things that genuinely make the sport a safe and special place to be. Thanks dude. We’re gonna get there.

What settings do u usually use for streaming ? As in ISO, shutter speed , aperature ?
@jondoeslifestuff2 ай бұрын
Honestly that part really doesn't matter as long as the overall exposure is alright for YOU. 1/60 (because I stream for 30f), Aperature.. whatever I feel like usually around 4 or 5.6 (I don't care for blown out backgrounds, that's silly), Iso anywhere between 800-4000, grain really doesn't matter especially when a majority of your image is scaled down to something very small for the most part. 1080p is fine for a scaled down image as well. CPL filter cuts a lot of that skin shine (would highly recommend) and a VND if you're exposure needs to come down and you don't want to be messing around with ISO too much.🤙

I Jon, did you not have any issues with video latency? When recording audio on a mic direct to my computer the camlink video feed is half a second delayed compared with the audio.
@jondoeslifestuff3 ай бұрын
Shockingly no, but half a second is crazzzzy long of a latency. I’ve been running it to the elgato into a usb 3 port and it’s been unnoticeable in terms of audio sync for streams or talking etc.

Hmm... interesting. What are your record settings? Been streaming for 10+ hours weekly and to this day hasn't overheated.
@dct1243 ай бұрын
The vari angle screens were only put on Nikon budget hobbyist bodies. Nikon wasn't sacrificing build quality and weather sealing so people could look at themselves. The other reason is instead of adding it, they went wireless so you could use your smartphone as a wireless external monitor, tablet or computer. They've also had them as long as everyone else. If you want to ever do a retro review on a camera no one has done. Find a Nikon Coolpix 8400. 8mp variable angle screen, 24-85 f/2.6 power zoom. It actually had something modern cameras still don't have, a magnifying viewfinder for the LCD screen.

So then it doesn't really operate as a webcam, it's a video capture cam.

To unlock its full specs you'll need a capture card, correct - wasn't a fan of the idea but Nikon doesn't really announce that before buying it lol.
