I'm visiting SLO at the moment and, I've gotta say, I'm very impressed with the community here! Being out of state, most of what we see about California makes it easy to believe the whole state is a train wreck, but that's obviously not the case as I I been humbly reminded. I love how clean the streets are and, just like my hometown, it's got a great small town atmosphere and charm. Oh, and amazing food! I'm greatful to have been able to visit. I found a KSBY6 news article and a News Channel 12-3-11 article from this S.L.O county sex offender investigation of 2019. The written articles named the three sex offenders that were in violation of their parole or probation. Scott Childers of S.L.O county, Doug Okun of Arroyo Grande, and Jed John of S.L.O. county. I unfortunately met JED JOHN earlier this year. He did some work for us. He did a horrible job. He gave me a phony contractor's number and told us he could build a side fence and retaining wall. He's NO contractor! When I went to check his number with the California Contractors Board website it came up in red *This number does not exist.* A contracting company we hired had to rip it all out and start from scratch. What an ordeal.

Morro Bay Camp ground , I entered the park at 5:15 am which is open 24/7 and I also had this free day use pass from the library with me . A Calif Park Ranger / Cop was cruising the campground 2 hours before his shift he stopped behind me as I was letting him pass me. He ran my drivers license and not happy because I am clean he wrote me a BS ticket for not paying the camping fee. He just watched me drive into the park ! I am 70 years old and a veteran and I had this pass and was thinking of taking a camping spot and paying for that. He also banned me from the campground for 24 hours then when I was leaving the park and stopped at the pay booth to re read the rules he pulled up and told me to get out !.... Ranger " B. I was with this department 1971-1981, back then things were allot different. No homeless,drugs was mainly grass, we carried revolvers,no vest. I mainly worked the coast station when the office was out up the main station on hwy 1. I went to Pismo PD then El Dorado sheriff’s dept the went back into military desert storm and retired as a military pole officer. I miss this department a bunch of great guys and gals.
