My husband and I spent an evening with Nancy Hillis (Mandy in the book) listening to her stories My husband didn't want to go with me but eventually did. At the end of the evening he said that she was the most fascinating person he had ever met in his life! She said that almost all of the stories in the book were told to John Berendt ( the author ) by Joe Odum According to her everybody liked Joe and he was able to introduce Berendt to people in Savannah and get him into places he otherwise wouldn't be welcomed.

The truth is so refreshing. The music was fantastic in the TV production also.

Sonny Seiler passed recently in Savannah. He was in his 90's.... Jim died before his mother. She inherited the mansion but left it to her daughter, Dorothy, when she passed. Then she was buried next to Jim.... Jim died on the threshold of his study. I have a picture if him taken by the coroner before his body was moved.

Buddy is a really good man. His book just came out, Growing Up Barrow, I can't wait to get a copy and ask him to sign it for me. It's really sad that they tore down the Barrow station on Singleton and Borger. But he had a man that was going to move it make a museum out of it and they tore the damn thing down in a secretive way before anybody could stop it it was a real shitty and dirty thing to do! Dallas City Council may not appreciate the Bonnie and Clyde history, but it still is part of Dallas' history whether they like it or not, a lot of the people in Dallas as well as other parts of Texas and the United States as well as the rest of the world do appreciate the history!
