Dude great camera for 2001. I used to go here as a kid. I was 9 my sister was 8 the last time we went. We would drive from Texas to Panama for vacation every couple years after a long day at the beach, riding dantes inferno and abonimable snowman was literally the best. First thrill rides I've ridden in my life!

3:01 who did that?? Who thought it was a good idea to do that?? There was no single reason you had to do it, the designers chose to make this ride suck

Beautiful footage of a beautiful state. I really need to check out some of those more remote areas away from I-25. I know that phone of yours enjoys testing the limits of human patience, but it sure delivers some great picture quality.

As someone who has worked in Rivertown/Kings Island for a number of years, I always look at this ride and get a sort of "sonder" type of feeling. Seeing how new and fresh the concrete was and the excitement; now reduced to a dormant building (besides haunt) with overgrown vegetation. Realizing that I am standing in the same spot as these people, just 20 years later. I can't help to wonder: where did these ride operators/other people in the footage end up in life? Maybe I'm just getting old, but there is something moving to me about seeing how things change with time. Thanks for the excellent footage.

Was this during the ACE Spring Conference? That was our first ACE national event. We met a lot of coaster peeps including Ed McInery (aka Chillforce). We drove and he was trying to guide us out of CY and we ended up losing him and getting lost in Manhattan. We ended up underneath a catwalk of the WTC and saw the towers. Never felt so claustrophobic in my life. LOL. Mind you we’re from a Seattle metro burb and had never been in NY before.

I can tell the PTC train really gave some kick, literally! We were finally able to get this credit two years ago at night and it was smooth and a bit intense. Of course we’re much older now and don’t ride coasters like we used to. Not as intense as Voyage, Legend or Renegade imo.

One of the vlogger’s I watch visited Lost Island on a pouring rainy day. He rode the pendulum ride and asked the ride ops not to spin it and they were kind enough to ablige. He was the only patron in the park, though. I’m glad you were able to get that credit as who knows how long it will continue to operate due to its low crowds. Maybe they should call it the beloved Island of Misfit Rides as it’s out in the middle of nowhere. [Insert Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer nod. 🦌😂]

Oh yes, that bring back good memories of the original trains, man that was running fast that year. Laterals are great on The Legend, especially near the end there after the tunnel.

My first visit to Six Flags over Texas was in 1992, I recall getting there to the hotel in the evening driving down the road beside Judge Roy Scream and the track lights looked awesome moving in motion. Looks as if they’d removed them by the time this video was made in 1995. Wonder why so many parks have removed the classic chasing track lights from their coasters? Of recently; Screamin’ Eagle, The Great American Scream Machine , Mind Bender SFOG, and Swamp Fox. I think those lights look great and enhance the nights rides.

YUP this is what I remember 😂 smashing my head into the back because I didn't have the insight like you to know when the ride would actually start, before they added the countdown. Those were the good ol', classic painful days of Disneyland 😂

And the Zamperla Track??? WWEEELLLL??🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣‼️I could also hear the wheels squeaking of a Mean Streak Train. You know. I still miss that Coaster. It's too bad that Gravity Group wasn't around to get their Very Capable Hands on Mean Streak!! Cedar Point would still have had 2 Wooden Rollercoasters🎢🎢

Do you remember when Black Beach was rumored to get a 400ft Millennium Force, and weeks after they said no Warner Stengle said, but they're is a 400ft coming to US. Everyone remembered the massive footers and the coaster world went nuclear.

We had a great time. We fly home today. Bummed but will be happy to be back. Next time I visit it won’t be about coasters. This country has so much magic to experience outside the park stuff. Highly recommended to spend time here.

We bonded very well on this trip. We leave today to go home. Pretty bummed but know will be back someday. Next time most likely won’t include more than maybe two parks, if that. I have realized that the parks are fun but seeing non-park stuff is what matters to me in Japan.
