I don't understand this machine and others like it. It's like it's making it up as it's going along. What's the purpose if it's spinning around and pausing? This is horrible.

I’m going to be keeping my 17 year old direct drive whirlpool, it’s nothing fancy but it works.
@davidminton517611 күн бұрын
The only thing impressive about this washer is the very high-speed final spin. My 40 year-old Whirlpool direct drive washer would have finished this load in about 30-35 minutes. I've said it before and will say it again: I hope to never buy a new washer. I can have my Whirlpool completely rebuilt - top to bottom - for around $400, and it'll be ready to go for another 40+ years.

I never use the dispenser for detergent. That way I do not have to worry about it clogging. I just add it to the wash tub.

This is what I hate about so many new washers. They play silly ass games instead of just filling and washing the damn clothes. This is why a damn wash cycle takes an hour or more. Would love to be able to just scream at the washer engineers.
@hiphop360Ай бұрын
I would love if an LG Engineer could comment and describe exactly why the machines pauses so much.. What data is it actually gathering... Is it weighing the clothes, is it checking the water temperature? Is it calculating how much torque it should use to agitate the clothes???? I would love to know exactly...

Good review. I have a few different Phenyx Pro systems and I've never had any issues until this past week in one of my tour locations. BUT.. I had 6 wireless mics being used by rappers who were walking around everywhere in front of each other and across the speakers, and people standing in front of the receiver. So not only was there a lot of wireless gear being used, but also line of sight was blocked. I used the PTU-2U as my go to mic for all my performances and I have never had any issues with it at all. Only time was the one I just explained.

You actually also have to use medium spin because high or extra high doesn’t work.
@jc_alpha2 ай бұрын
Interesting. I got the PTU 2U yesterday and tested the range and had no such issues. I wonder if you have a bad unit? Also, underneath the battery cover, there is a frequency signal strength switch that you can turn to High or Low. The Low setting is meant to produce a weaker signal to preserve battery life. I wonder if your mic was on Low?

I just picked up the PTU-2U for use in gigs that are in much smaller venues than your church. Mostly to reduce the number of cables I have to coil at the end of the gig. I’ll have to see how it goes. All my IEM transmitters are Sennheiser and I do intend to get Sennheiser wireless mics at some point in the not too distant future, but for now, I figured the Phenyx would get me by. We’ll have to see how it hoes.
@harvestfaith83593 ай бұрын
First, thank you for the example of possible dropouts, which would be the case of any system that a "clean" frequency is not available or is very crowded. So, thanks for admitting that. Saying this, what appears to be the issue is the broader increments of frequency tuning of the PTU, which then, could render it unusable in situations where other systems can lock-on due to tighter increment tunning, especially as with the EW line. This demonstration is bringing me to a different purchase decision. Value is non-existent when the quality of production lowers my credibility of reliability.

I bought a Phenyx a while ago. Walked around and as soon as I would turn my back to the receiver, it would cut out. Sent it back the same day. People think you can go into different rooms and far away and not have issues which can be true but you star putting bodies in the way and that's a completely different story. This is a great example of you get what you pay for. There is a reason one is $200 and the other is over $600.

I have the PTU-71 and have never experienced the issues you're having. Granted, I bought a cheap mic that I only needed in the moment for a tech rehearsal so the director of a musical could communicate with the cast easier... But I've used these in large theaters, gyms and cafeterias, up to about 250 feet away from the receiver, and have never noticed anything cutting out. But again, I knew I was buying something cheap, and would have never tried to compare it to a Sennheiser.. Also, for what it's worth... kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mr2hephqrdG0YKM.html

@hiphop3604 ай бұрын
You may not have any available frequency that the unit can use.. Turns out that is what the problem was... Beleive it or not, it is not uncommon in certain large metro areas that you find that complete UHF band segments are completely filled up.. It is very important to know what is available to you so that you get the right equipment for the location. You can check what's available to you by visiting Frequency Finder at wff.sennheiser.com/ and/or www.shure.com/en-US/support/tools/frequency-finder. Using either of those tools, neither one of them report usable frequencies AT THE TEST LOCATION in the range of 555.025MHz - 580MHZ. However, they do show one small range around 546MHz that I should be able to use at my location... That info actually checks out, my 3 Sennheiser units auto scan only reports that I can use frequencies from 545-548MHZ...

No.. the procedure I used was correct. The problem is that my location has no clean frequencies available in the range that the PTU-1U uses.

Bingo! I had to do a frequency availability for an area that I had to work (as I always do) & it was useless but works flawlessly when the frequencies are available 👍🏽

I never had a problem with my Phynex Pro, I was approximately 150 feet away from the base and walked through a small room then into the rest room so the mic had to pass through 2 walls and it sounded perfectly fine. I never had any dropouts with mine. Then this past summer I was over 300 feet from the base and it was still crystal clear. Honestly this is the first video I’ve seen that a person had a problem with the Phynex Pro Mic.

I don't have time to watch the rest of this but I see the blue glove has not gone underwater yet. I have just bought an LG washer in Sept. 2023 and I am not happy with it. Some of the washing cycles don't give enough water. I washed some bedding and used the bedding cycle and I went in later to put the clothes in the dryer and it had stopped and had never wrung out the clothes. I just switched it to quick wash to finish the load. I have no clue why it didn't ring. I'm tired of this. I wish I'd bought a washer that worked like my older washers did. My total for this washer? $900.

It would be better if the agitator was double action with the boat propeller always rotating in one direction pushing the clothes down all the time.
