Yes, we are still doing kolos and horos. I did this dance at Chang's in San Francisco--the oldest folk dance group in USA. Very nice friendly people.

He lives still...in the dances we international folk dancers and Balkan/Bulgarian dance aficionados still do every week. He is our teacher, our mentor, our role model,...and the memory of his friendship --among all of us who are members of groups that hosted him along his workshop tour routes, at weekend festivals, and week-long summer camps, will live in our hearts and minds forever. Never a "prima donna," Yves & his wife, France, stayed in members' homes and at camp accomodations, shared in the life of the group with enthusiasm, great comedic style and timing, and above all, a deep respect and love of Bulgaria, its people and its cultural riches. I am reminded of the ancient Jewish wisdom poetry (Proverbs 31: 10-31) known as "Eshet Hayil ( אֵֽשֶׁת־חַ֭יִל ) / A Woman of Valor" which could be applied to our great teachers, both Women and Men. Just as the Woman of the poem and her Husband, these teachers lead lives of skillfull industry, do work of the highest quality, and practice loving kindness at all times. As it is said of the Eshet Hayil (paraphrase of v. 25, 26): "Strength and dignity are her clothing; And she faces the future with good humor. She opens her mouth with wisdom; And the law of kindness is on her tongue." Speaking for myself, that applies to France & Yves Moreau over the years of our acquaintance. We of the Folk Dance Community still embrace France, now and always with our deep love and gratitude. ♥💜

This is definitely NOT Greek music or dance. It is Bulgarian/Macedonian. However, I have listened to the Bulgarian version, where it is also sung, and it is not as melodious and beautiful as this version. Nevertheless, I suggest Dunav (who, I guess, is Bulgarian himself) should change the title of the dance to Bulgarian or Macedonian.
