In Effie’s case the mother will not keep her eyes on the baby for years to come.

Nah... Anyone who's travelled the victoria line can tell you that. Even in the height of winter it's hot. But it's the damn quickest line out of them all

I feel sorry for elderly or disabled users of some of these lines. I've been close to fainting as a younger, healthy adult at times during the summer months.

Too bad Effie rejected the baby and London Zoo didn't do a damn thing about it.

You should see how Effie and the staff of the London zoo are mistreating the baby. That gorilla Alika is mistreating the baby and nobody does anything.

The country that thought that having house and flats with no shutters was a great idea. In my house in the south of France, if it is 35 degrees celcius outside it is 18 inside. In summer i can't even be inside the house at night without a cardigan and i sleep with a blanket and no air conditioning. In my house in Kyoto Japan, which is a 200 years old house in has a natural wind inside all summer long using no fans or any electric appliance , just because of the deisng of the house and basic physics laws. So much so that the hotter it gets the more windy the house gets. Why, because the French and the Japanese knew how to build houses that are warm in winter and cool and dry in summer. You Britis will all due respect only build houses for scandinavian weather. Well guess what, today's england has the same weather as 100 years ago's spain and Italy, and it only gonna get hotter in the decades ton come. Start investing in shutters and insulation for all your houses and stop using bricks as construction material. Bricks retain the heat during the day and releases it at night which is great in winter, but means that your house keeps on warming up in summer at night even when the temperature outside is cooler. That7s why houses in the southern countries are made of stones, good old stones and always have an attic separated from the rest of the house so the heat stays in the attic, and the walls are thick. And Japan makes house out of wood because wood doesn't absorb heat or release it, and the walls are made of mud which absorbs the humidity and the floor is made of wood or stone covered in straw mads which is perfectly breathable. I am in my in law's house in Tokyo richt now, it is 37 degrees Celsius outside (99 degrees F) with an 89% humidity (an d it is not even rainy or cloudy, just pure Japanese summer heat and humidity) and the temperature at night outside will never drop bellow 27 degrees C ( 80degrees F), and yet in the house it is 26 degrees (75F) without the AC during the day and we don't even need the AC at night because of the wind going through the whole house. Electric fan if the air is hot only creates more heat, you need to cool down the room. Your electricity bill for light will ALWAYS be cheaper than your electricity bill for cooling so cover your windows from the outside with thick insulating material until your room is pitch black. Do the same on every wall in your room and on the door. Make one room of your house, preferably the bed room, be like a thermos bottle and live only in that room through summer. You can cook in the kitchen but then eat and sleep in your bedroom. Change the air only at the coolest time of the day. Buy a small freezer just big enough to put about 15 bottles of water in in and freeze them and then put them in your insulated room preferably between you and the electric fan and this will cool you off. Don't even think about opening the window in that room until autumn.

A very politically correct and implausible comment from the City of London corporation shows the contempt that exists among the officials appointed to make London more accessible. They might as well have put "Life sucks, just deal with it." in their statement.

@@yipzoe3865 yes I understand your sentiment here. And in many cases there are people who have come to the uk and claim all the benefits whilst remaining in spirit foreign to the place. But then there are those that are loyal. What about them?

@@exiled2home why did Sunnak leave the D day ceremony early ? It is because he didn't care about the British culture, history and heritage at heart. He celebrated the Indian Diwali in the 10 Downing Street with many Indians, his Indian fellows rejoyed and had light fireworks for days when he was appointed as British prime minister, why? UK became the colony of India in the eyes of many outsiders, many people from other countries are laughing and mocking at you, do you know?

i heard about this on social media. thank you for covering this. really shameful. theoretically this could impact the result of a constituency as they come down to the wire sometimes. and if the result of a constituency is different because of this then it could impact the election itself and votes in the commons for years to come.

do you believe in equality for all? If so, why do you think disabled people should get special privileges over business owners? That doesn’t sound equal at all….. yall want disabled people to be treated as equals however you think the government should force business to cater to them with special treatment. It’s almost as if someone can’t say no to disabled people. For someone like me, I get said no to quite a bit. But I don’t go crying to a government entity trying to sue people because I don’t get my way. Also I don’t get the special privilege to sue when someone says no to me.
