There is no chemistry with this Canada team you can tell. How is Cornelius not backing up Saint Clair on the last Dutch goal? Decision making also for saint clair is questionable at the end. Definitely need those big European countries matches to see some improvement. Also, Defensive squad like that putting Davies in the LB is a mistake. Offense over defense in those games IMO.

Under the circumstances, didn't expect much different for Canada. Still, as a Leeds fan I am concerned about Jesse Marsch. This is not out of bitterness, but out of observing his tactics. He openly does not believe in width because, as he says, the goalposts are in the middle. The result is a crowded, disjointed, rushed approach to everything, always in a narrow corridor down the middle. Given our strength out wide (Alphonso Davies, for example) this is especially unsuitable. Marsch has great enthusiasm and gives entertaining interviews, but his tactics are horrible.

Amazing to see the progress Canada has made, reality in 2023 and 2024 was always going to set in. But all we ask for is effort and learn from the mistakes

the problem with canadian football is that there is no difference between local leagues and professional leagues. Strikers inaccureacy, goalie`s wrong decisions, followed by an inexistant midfield makes canadian team look very unprofessional. This being said, the actual team looks a bit better than the previous one.

Look... we have to admit we aren't in the same class as the Dutch side.... for large parts of the game it looked like the Dutch weren't even trying. Having said that ... we did hold our own for 45 minutes and there were some bright spots. We could have scored a few times. These are all good learning experiences if we want to compete with the best we have to play the best.
