@kevin_m8 күн бұрын
Thanks! Not sure what number plates you are referring to? The numbers on the doors or on the hood of the car would all be customizable in your design. Sometimes there are window names/numbers depending on the template/car model. This is a bit more complex as you need to export the proper dds file to be used for “WINDOWS” and update the xml to add in the line that loads windows or windscreen dds overrides. Glad I helped you with the video :).

So, if the car doesn't automatically come with either windscreen or banner it can't be done?
@kevin_m3 ай бұрын
Right, the model has to have the material in it and ability to specify a dds file/texture to it. Not all cars have things like banners, windows, window numbers, different color wheel rims etc. Best trick is to find a really well done skin pack of the model you want to use and open the xml file and check the dds files that come with it. You’ll see the files and paths needed.

Anybody have any ideas?
@kevin_m3 ай бұрын
By “changing to dds” I’m not sure what you mean. I googled and see that you should be able to “export as dds” from gimp itself. Dxt1 for body and Dxt5 for spec (supports alpha). A white car or red car often means there is a path problem in the xml file. Make sure you don’t have any remaining “commenting” brackets in your new xml and that ams2 can follow the paths in the xml to see your dds files for the livery ID you are trying to override. Keep me posted. If need be I can send you a discord invite and I could take a look at your files. 🙂

Will give this file a try . Have tried previous files from Daniel and agree they are far better for consistent lapping and times.
