I usually create a new google id just for the android radio so that it doesn't auto sync all my phone contacts and information with the radio. The only cons is I need to use my phone or android auto and make calls from my phone. That's also the option to save my precious radio memory and keeping my contacts discreet . on the steering control is there ways to change the mode to launch my fav mp3 player instead of the stock music player?

Is there another app instead of Zlink to use? Zlink says it would have access to my photos, music, documents and passwords! Something which obviously I dont wanna give away

Is the zlink app reliable? Also is there a way to connect the original centre consoles USB/AUX with these android models? Its very weird that you have to connect external USBs in the glove box to use android auto. Tried via bluetooth but doesnt work says I need to install some Chinese app in order for it to work

Ask supplier of your radio. Good radios and modern phones work with Android auto wireless. It's not about app it's about radio and it's soft water
