Good playing. The amp sounds terrible. Far too much treble.

One of, if not the best demo, of this model that I've heard, letting those strings ring out, so you can hear the resonance.

Having no neck heel makes some scales (Eb Major) and transition to thumb position very difficult. I have owned this bass for several years and I have yet to see someone address this problem.

Difference/comparison between a Ibanez UB804 and a NS Design WAV4? I know the scale lengths are different- anything else that would make one choose the slightly higher priced NS over the Ibanez?

@D14V0R05 Жыл бұрын
I'd say it is the amp and strings, I've watched videos about this EUB with better sound. The SLB 300 costs 5k, so IT MUST sound better to justify that ridiculous price tag.

I have just returned mine. I don´t like the sound, it is not like a double bass, is like an electric fretless bass. The d´ dario chrome strings are not suitable for this kind of bass, they sound to metallic to my taste. may be GHS flat wounds or Galli jazz flats, they are smoother and warmer

True does not have the neck heel or the body contours to support the bass, the dot marker across the finger board are uselesss if you are reading music. The workaround for me was to make a wood thumb heel and place it where is located on my double bass and learn to work around the physical “limitations” of the body. Once I did that had not a single issue playing this bass, I really love it for what it is.

I hate the gibraltar bridge because the strings appear to be radiused to 9.5 while the board is 12 so the interior strings are high. If you cam file the g and be saddles then it's okay. Then this guitar be set lower than probably most people would even prefer and still sound good. It's also insanely gorgeous in person. The binding has a lot going on, it's not just solid cream. Overall idk how ibanez does it (or perhaps why Epiphone et al do not)

Indonesia The LGB30 is a hollow body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in mid 2013. It is a signature model for American jazz guitarist George Benson. It is a more affordable alternative to the LGB300. It was initially made in China, but production moved to Indonesia from 2019.

Good question. There is a different feel to playing with an upright bass for someone who is used to playing that way.

You can play it with a bow, which is really more difficult on a standard bass, fretless or not (except the first and the last string)
@glennlopez67722 жыл бұрын
Good question. Those playing a fretted bass instrument who like the sound of an upright bass and the way the strings snap (not break), would more likely choose this type.
