Hi John, a 16’ has its place, but most people will want the larger platform and better stabilize of the wider stance that the 18’ line up offers.

They have since changed the layout of this boat, including a different cockpit, removing the front live well, and so on. Look carefully at the current model before setting your sights. I ended up ordering the 2023 Sun Tracker Fishin' Barge 20 DLX. It has several actual improvements over the older models.

Pontoon and tritoon boats are heavy bc they use plywood for the decks. they could use a poly core hard foam material that is 1/4 th The weight and would never rot.

I love my 2009 escape. But can anyone tell me why the back rear quarter panel rusts out above the wheels? I've only seen just a couple that haven't. 90% have.
