I've been distro hopping the last 2 weeks, and I was amazed by Nobara, it's not my first Linux experience since I used ubuntu mate almost full time in my old laptop and only switched to windows because I got a gaming rig and wanted to juice that rtx card. But Nobara does a lot of things other distros won't. For starters it was one of the few distros that detected my wifi OOB, all your drives are mounted on startup so you can easily access all your windows files, also video playback is smooth as hell, I tried playing 4k files on the other distros I tried (a bunch of ubuntus, mint, zorin, pop os...) and none could play heavy video files, even after installing nvidia drivers and codecs, Nobara did it flawlessly and as I said almost everything OOB, no tinkering, just installing your favorite apps and enjoy.

All you need to do to fix your stuttering in Wayland is install the Nvidia 555.42 drivers. I run it like a champ with RTX 4070, Ryzen 7 3700X and 64mg ram on a Samsung 980 pro nvme drive. I use an ultra-wide monitor running 1440p on high to ultra settings

Signal (Private IM client) Good list, I have been using many of these for decades and they are solid free alternatives to paid software. A tip: Include Links in the description, A list in the comments, or at the very least spell out the name of the software in the video. I had no idea what the name of the free FPS was; xenotic? zenotac? senotic?.. no idea... had to manually search it and find out the name was Xonotic.

On new builds VLC, paired with K-like Codec pack. One of the first things I load up on the PC. You may also want to check out Argus monitor. Great for hardware monitoring. Temps, fan speeds. curves. ect. it is freeware. But I (as cheap as I am) actually paid for it. Love all the features.

hello, my nobara does not use an nvidia graphics card, only the intel one, I have a driver, the system sees it, hashcat also sees it and uses it properly, and the games use intel as gpu, what should I do?

help me I can't use my full monitor hertz on whatever Linux version I use I can only set my monitor refreshing rate to 240 when the resolution is set to 1920×1080. if I lower the resolution I am only able to use 60/75hz. whyyyy?

I tried nobara and I had issues with my usb hard drives, also tried gaming with the witcher 3 wild hunt and world of tanks and the mouse wasn't working. I don't get these issues with linuxmint. I had high hopes with nobara. I might try them again in a year or two years time. Hopefully it would be better by then

once all games run online then i delete my windows and just use linux.

I used Linux Mint for a few months, when I bought this PC. It is excellent in so many respects. But it lacks anything similar to Windows Paint or image manipulation generally. What it has is overly complicated, very cumbersum and frequently lacking the most basic tools, such as crop. So I'm using Windows 10. 😞

In the future what you may want to do is write a script so you can just read it off while going through the various areas. That way you sound more sure of yourself and the viewer won't be as ready to step away.

my controller comes up as F: drive and wont give me an option to change it to something else but other type of storage drives. it works perfect on switch but my pc doesnt want to read it

Does this work on windows 11?

I do no see an option for xbox or xbox 60 peripherals only 1 option in list for me "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor request failed)" Works fine on xbox console but when i plug into computer it says device not recognised. I am using windows 10

Guys my controller doesn't have any connecting issue but what I'm facing is the button are not calibrated properly and I tried to calibrate through the control pannel but it doesn't work the keys are still wrongly calibrated anyone know how to fix it please let me know. BTW I'm on windowd 10 pro 1903.
