Danke schőn, my pumpernickel dough is going through its second proofing at present and I can’t wait to taste this recipe you’re provided. Along with self raising yeast I added 100g of my sourdough starter. I live in Northern California, Oakdale at the foot of the Sierra’s mountains where gold was first discovered in 1849. 🍞🥖👍

There are a few different panko cookie recipes, but yours is my favourite mix! I like to add more almond extract for that amaretto kick, but thank you for sharing this recipe. It's become a favourite super easy cookie fix recipe.

We adore the Taste of Texas--I've been eating there for 35 years and my husband has eaten there since they opened at the original Town & Country village location. So hard to to decide on which bread to get when we go so we just fill up the basket with a variety. Excellent job on these!! So glad you like the cookbook!!

Obsoletely not. Any surface should do, may have to add a little extra flour but that should be it. I see people use plastic matts, big butcher's block, etc. Try it and let me know if you have problems. Thank you!

The water temperature should be aroung 75-90, as long as it's not cold it should work. Test it with your finger and it should be warm as you would test your bath water. Appreciate your comment.

These look delicious. Is there a certain brand of flour your prefer? I usually use Kings Arthur. Also, do you sift your flour before measuring? One thing I've noticed is that when I make homemade cookies, sometimes they turn out flat. How long do you usually soften your butter? Thanks for sharing this recipe.

The flour I use is a big bag of high protein from Smart and Final, any high gluten flour is good (also known as bread flour). Usually, I do not shift my flour, except when the recipe calls for it. One reason for flat cookies is the butter was melted instead of softened by leaving it come to room temp. You can always put the cookie dough in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes prior to baking and that should do the trick. Thank you for your comment.
