Lackluster. I would want my money back. Come on Dude you can afford to pay a band to put on a real show. This was a blatant money grab obviously. I would have YAWNED and left.

Dave..love him..but he has never been good live..cringe & sometimes embarrassing..& to be honest - he's not a singer, Sammy is! Dave can do enough to get by as a vocalist. His power is being a front man & flamboyance. Dave Van Halen = party time music. Sammy= a step up/ more mature/beautiful Van Halen! love them both, though!!! R.I.P. Eddie!!!

Why the sound person can't properly mic the alto saxophone, is beyond me. I understand that guitars have amplifiers, I also understand that none of us are perfect. Gosh. I don't hear the organ either...

My guess is that the record feed is from an Aux send on the mixer, and only the guitar send is up at a decent level. On the other hand, trying to monitor the record, even with cans, can be challenging. If the house sound was this bad live, there'd be a riot.

Well, the first 40 minutes are recorded from my schoeps mics on stage, so i'm guessing the sax is very quiet. The last 40 minutes is from the mic on my camera, in the balcony. It doesn't sound great up there but it's the best place for my camera because I left it and went elsewhere. I be taping multiple shows at the same time...

I really like the way Medeski and Oteil play together. I know that Johnny is supposed to be a super high level drummer but for me he just messes around too much. He seem,s to make it all about him.

Depends on Johnnys' mood (and cannabis consumption). He is typically very sympathetic to his fellow musicians.

Lonnie Smith (July 3, 1942 - September 28, 2021) styled Dr. Lonnie Smith (not to be confused with Lonnie Liston Smith) was an American jazz Hammond B3 organist who was a member of the George Benson quartet in the 1960s. He recorded albums with saxophonist Lou Donaldson for Blue Note before being signed as a solo act. He owned the label Pilgrimage, and was named the year's best organist by the Jazz Journalists Association nine times. Early life Smith was born in Lackawanna, New York, on July 3, 1942. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, and the family had a vocal group and radio program. He stated that his mother was a major influence on him musically, as she introduced him to gospel, classical, and jazz music. <w...a>
