do you drive the Octavia station wagon? Mine is the hatchback verdion. That gap might be different. If that's the case, try to find lower boxes to support the plywood.

@gottardop2 жыл бұрын
@jackm_2 жыл бұрын
@gottardop2 жыл бұрын

With the plywood the floor is completely flat, as the boxes offset the step. OK, maybe +- 1-2 cm, but you work with more precision than, it gets to be flat.

What are the dimensions of the Rako boxes and how many do you need?
@gottardop3 жыл бұрын
Hi John. for the main storage and support I've used 5 boxes sized 40 x 30 x 12 cm plus 1 30 x 20 cm. That leaves room on the opening side of the trunk for another 2 30 x 20 or some other boxes withouth support function. See minute 0:22 on this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/brSkf9193rzSoWg.html for an overview. The number doesn't have to be exact, it depends how much "non boxed" storage you want to have on the rear seat side, where I usually place tent and sleeping bag.

This is not a problem at all when your car is long enough and you can place a regullar camping bed inside! This way everything is very SIMPLY!!! Try to convert into micro camper something much smaller! Like: Renaut Clio, KIA Picanto, Toyota Aygo and similar... This is a challenge!

Hi Arne. I use a 5cm x 50 x 190 self inflating mat. I have two. When I'm alone I stack them. Personnally I (we) find them comfortable enough for a week or two. There may be thicker versions, or inflatable beds. It's a matter of balancing comfort vs. room requirements.
