What's funny is I am trying to find the opposite of this. I am trying to make a sinkhole and the water keeps coming back and I don't want it to. But the only way is to get two source blocks away from each other and its impossible when you are in the middle of a lake. :/

The end gateway not spawning is a glitch. You are supposed to get one every time you kill the dragon. That glitch has happened to me too but I'm not sure what to do about it other than just beat the game again, it usually works the second time. Also nice video!
@Todd13Күн бұрын
Ah, good to know. Subsequent dragon battles did give me gateway portals, so it must just be that first one. Thanks!

7:28 By not making door water logged when placed underwater does it mean it's a minecraft mechanic to breathe underwater made intentionally?
@Todd134 күн бұрын
What’s strange is doors can be waterlogged in Bedrock, so I’m not sure it’s intentional. But, yes, doors, fence gates, and magma blocks are great ways to breathe underwater!

It the comparator doing the work the detector rail only sends power in all direction if something on the detector rail As you can see the minecart is actually on both rails the power track is powered from the detector rail The comparator is reading from what is in the minecart not the detector rail the detector rail only sends power

How about bringing to the village the blocks which Endermen are able to pick up? Though I think that they quickly move them all over the island... Wiki says "An enderman cannot pick up blocks in a completely flat area", so, at least you can bring some blocks for the village square paving or into their houses. Don't know, if it fits your intended idea. As for the centrepiece of the square I though about the lore theory that Endermen once were a player-like civilization. So, how about simply placing there a crafting table like the last thing connecting them to their lost civilization, which might have lost a practical meaning for them throughout the generations? A bit creepy and eerie, but that's how the most of the MC lore looks...
@Todd1310 күн бұрын
Cool ideas. I’m thinking of doing more end builds. One where the underman could move blocks would be strange. I’ll have to read up on the wiki and see what works. I also love the lore idea!

Can I use the First Design with Hopper Minecart?
@Todd1317 күн бұрын
Yes, but keep in mind the way the minecart is launched is by the comparator seeing the hopper being empty. The hopper minecart can only hold 5 stacks of items, so if you put 6 stacks in the chest above, it will never launch the hopper minecart, because the hopper will never completely empty out. Hope that helps!
@ramdanacoocaa698517 күн бұрын
@Todd13 So, how do I fix that? Change the lever with Hopper having 5 stacks of items in it? Thanks for your reply!
@Todd1317 күн бұрын
The fix is to not overload the chest with items. That’s, unfortunately, the limitation of that design.

Took a Santa Fe trip a couple of years ago and loved it. I’d move there were it not for the looming water crisis. Petroglyphs, check. There are ruins of a structure at the very top and it’s cool to walk through it and imagine where the walls, doors, and windows used to be, and picture living inside of it. MeowWolf, check. What more can be said about it? It’s the best! There’s a MeowWolf course in Walkabout Minigolf for Quest VR that I recommend as well. So much cool stuff out there.

I think an end build would be cool if it were somehow surprising and special, but I can't make many suggestions because I've truly never been to the end; even though I've played for years! Perhaps just something artistic that leverages the surreal setting already there? A sort of Roger Dean inspired landscape? Could be a tremendously good idea, or a dead end one (pun intended).
@Todd13Ай бұрын
Never been to the end?! You’re not missing too much. That’s a neat idea. Could do some space-western vistas, or surreal bridges between islands. I’ll keep thinking on that and see what happens.

I'd recommend: 1) Spyglass Improvements by juancarloscp52 (that's how spyglass had to be implemented in the first place) 2) Status Effect Timer by magicus (very small and useful mod) 3) Inventory Profiles Next by blackd (makes storage and inventory management a bit easier) 4) Slot Cycler by Fuzs (also cool for managing inventory)

I find playing without coordinates much more enjoyable, even though it's harder, since: 1) you have to always look in the sky to see the sun and understand which way are you facing in early game; 2) there's no way of understanding at what Y-level are you, so you can't mine ores as efficiently after 1.18 update (really need an altimeter item in the game); 3) the Nether portal hub becomes a late game feature, because you have to use lodestone (placing it under your home portal in the Nether, then going on adventure in the Overworld with the linked compass and then building a portal in a new place and returning back to the home portal through the Nether); 4) all cartographer equipment takes up a lot of inventory space, so you can't loot a lot, until you get a donkey/mule, bundles, ender chest or shulkerboxes. But from good things: 1) you actually start to memorize seemingly same'ish terrain, which improves your orienteering skill overall; 2) you start to utilize in-game features like maps with markers, lodestones, signal campfires, (beams of the beacons); 3) there's now a practical need to build roads between different points of interest, which makes your world more lived-in and not just sporadic buildings with a bunch of screenshots on your PC; 4) might be a downside for someone, but exploring the Nether becomes a really dangerous activity, so it may slowdown your game progression, but that somewhat makes you enjoy the early game longer and explore the world on foot or on horseback, build roads, fill in maps, as I said, and not just hurry towards the End and getting an elytra, when you already won't need any of that really...
@Todd13Ай бұрын
You’re absolutely right. It feels much more “real” if you rely on maps and landmarks rather than coordinates. Sea level is consistent, so you could count blocks from sea level to find specific depths. It’s nice to take things slower rather than rushing to the end game!

Amusement park idea: A boat ride. Something like the roller coaster you'd made previously, but by using directed water streams instead of a track. Maybe starting from the top of a mountain and working down, or perhaps using a clever series of streams and bubble columns, etc. Perhaps even located at the intersection of several biomes for a kind of journey through the different kinds of terrain (plus some decorative goodies, naturually).
@Todd13Ай бұрын
Boat ride is a good idea. I was imagining “It’s a Small World,” but maybe we could do a log flume type thing too. It will likely be more challenging than I imagine. :)
