thanks for sharing. I had dreads years ago and they were super funky, not exactly what I was going for, but they were still cool. Going to try this method this time.

Ugh, I had dreads that weren’t even fully matured yet, they were about a year old and to the middle of my chest and it still took me 3 days, two bottles of conditioner and countless broken combs to get them completely out. I surprisingly didn’t have a ton of damage either.
@brittanifry104414 күн бұрын
That sucks cause I’m sure growing your hair out long enough to get dreads again was annoying. At least they weren’t down to your lower back when you got lice like my son’s dad. He got lice once before his dreads were mature and I successfully treated it and he continued growing his hair until he was almost sitting on them and he ended up chopping them off.

I k ow this video is 7 years old but do the oil work on wool dread lock extensions as well?
@WiredAndStonedАй бұрын
That’s a great question. I want to come back with some woolie tutorials and advice! From what I’ve found, lanolin is good for wool, and sort of waterproofing it. When I purchased wool mohair, it came with a kind of oil spray… I’m not sure what’s in it. But I imagine there’s some kind of oil! How about you try some things out and let me know. Since I’ve oil braided in wool temporarily, I’ve never felt the need to oil it. The oil usually is used on the scalp, and to “moisturize” extensions. I don’t think wool gets dry and brittle like human hair.

@@WiredAndStoned I don't have dreadlocks, but I've always loved them sure there's a stereotype for people that have dreads and don't ever wash, clean, maintenance, etc . And that stigma gives dread head's a bad reputation. I know two people who have dreads and they smell Amazing and look incredible .

I started watching your dread videos because I want them but my husband loves running his fingers through my hair so I’m making extensions. My life feels like I’ve finally found myself and the confidence to begin my purpose. Basically coaching people in how to grow like this and grow their happiness by removing blockages, healing and aligning with their purpose while expanding their spiritual journey. I’m so excited I came across this one bc I can see how you’ve grown and it’s amazing!

Its 2024. And I am trying to maintain my boyfriend's dreads. And I'm completely freaking clueless. Freaking help me someone. He has about an inch or so of regrowth is what he calls it. The girl who originally did his dreads now won't answer messages. And we tried another chick but she took the money and then wouldn't nail down a day and time. And for almost 2 weeks kept changing the appointment. Then his "friend" who owns a salon got him in. Spent 160 something. Just for them to twist it and not actually crochet them. And after 3 days they are starting to come out.
