Morris Day performed at a casino I worked at. Myself and two coworkers were lucky enough to meet him and spoke with him for a few minutes. Eventually, he was led away. Later that night, one of my coworkers saw Morris at a slot machine. Not only did he call her by name, he asked about myself and the other coworker by name and said he wanted to talk with us some more as he enjoyed our conversation. Later that same night, he was walking past a karaoke bar in the hotel and he just walked in. He jumped on stage and said he was gonna show the audience how it’s done. He sang with everyone for a bit and had drinks with them. That is a class act through and through.

Jaque era completa mas tinha um porém, seus ataques não eram tão potentes como de garay! Garay não tinha o melhor passe mas colocava 90% de seus ataques no chão! Não tem como comparar pois, as duas tinham jogos únicos que a sua época, fez toda a diferença no time ! Não é atoa que o nome da Garay em era o mais chamado pelos narradores! Quem assistiu sabe!

Quite some years ago, the Time was playing in Paradiso in Amsterdam. At the end of the gig, they invited ladies to come on the stage, taking them backstage. Some minutes later, one by one, band members sneaked back into the hall, mingling with the crowd. Morris Day too. Before we knew it, we were talking with them, dancing, drinking, laughing, as if they were just people hanging at the club. But we didn't see the roadies and technicians come back. Guess they were backstage with all the ladies. When the club was about to close and it was time to clean up the stage, and the side doors of the club openend to put equipment in the trucks. Morris Day himself was carrying synthesizers of the stage to the trucks. I'll never forget this. So amazing!

I think this Haim sister (I don’t know their first names) did a good job here. She incorporated a couple of her own ideas into The Bird. Who would have thought that was even possible, but she did it. I liked this version of this great tune.
