The depth and maturity of this game is something that you cant find in the others GTAs, i played all the games since 3 to 5, loved all them for very different reasons, but this is just the best, no crime glory, no good endings, every action got a reaction, the true hidden gem of Rockstar

He's unlike the typical one-dimensional protagonist in a Grand Theft Auto game. Donning a cheap sweatsuit and carrying a few belongings, the former Balkan militant arrives to the United States to escape a world of misery and hatred in pursuit of the American dream. Unable to reconcile with the demons of his past, and overwhelmed by the excesses of modern American life, Niko is propelled towards the kind of life he ran away from. Navigating through the deception and debauchery in the underbelly of Liberty City, our downtrodden anti-hero struggles to make the right choices in a world which does not yield to reason or morality and do right by the dubious characters his paths cross with. The character of Niko Bellic is, in it's own ill-fated way, a beautiful personification of the human psyche's yearning for order and purpose in a universe which offers none.

Every single new years eve, I play GTA IV. Because I feel like, that's where I belong. That dark pit Niko found himself in, I feel that in my bones.

Gta 4 is Undoubtedly the masterpiece...the cloudy gray weather, the grim atmosphere, ambience, ambient distorted sounds...just perfection.... Only driving sucked in this game

People complain about the dark tone of the game but it is what builds upon the dark character of nico who could only see the world for what it truly was earth, dirt, nothing but when you dig through dirt its rare but every once in a while you will find something of value but in a world like that it can only be small amd you are bound to lose it...

Niko Bellic is my favorite protagonist from R*. Granted yea Arthur Morgan is a fantastic character too but Niko tells a tale of someone in a more Modern world, one I can relate with more. Living a life that is very much undesirable and as well one that you have to do very questionable things in. Niko was neither a good or bad guy but someone that just was always dealt the roughest cards in the deck and tried to always make the best out of it for himself and those he cared about. Yeah he messed up a lot, hurt people and those close to him but we all do. So to me Niko is someone much more relatable and amazing as a character. Arthur well depending on how you view it Arthur can be a man you can aspire to be with the high honor. Niko is who we hope to never be or the person we seem to be every day in my eyes.

This game shows that a one well-written, developing through the story character works better than 3 dummies with little backstory.

we need a remaster with higher graphics and resolution. this is a masterpiece

Of all the games I played..this made me feel different about myself let alone see Niko as someone I know rather than playing a character in a game. When I got the achievement in the end "you won" it didnt feel like it..

That was pretty damn good keep it up I'm going to subscribe so I don't miss out on another one of these as well I watched your GTA 4 one and man that one broke me I remember playing that and having so much fun back then with that game such a great game

Man. this game had the best story. so good. it was sad. the fall of the McReary family, Dimitris betrayal, Roman getting abused, both endings. I hope GTA 6 is like this. moral choices to kill or not kill someone. and a good story

Niko reminds of Reiner from AOT they have common similarities, and by the way the music of Olafur Arnalds fits Niko personality very well. This game hit me each time I played it, Niko was always my favorite even when I played GTA and when I heard Lester talk about him I thought maybe he would be in this game but never showed, his sad story and both endings are sad but the special someone mission when darko tells him that he killed his friends for a thousand dollars and niko took a life for 5, that’s a huge difference and makes me think anyone could betray you because darko was niko friend back at home and enemy in America, when niko lost Roman I almost cried because Roman was funny and just nice and then I could feel niko going through everything with Roman and telling dimitri that Roman never hurt anyone, I love GTA 4 cause it’s a game we need back
