The emotion from 16:20 is one I’ve only ever experienced from this piece. So uniquely conflicted.

54:59 so interesting watching this from someone who never saw the 20th century, so in 1999 it was still a rule in places to not film? I always thought that was something the social media world caused, also people had those leave decorations in 1999? 53:43. It is very surreal watching this I was born in 2005, and only witnessed the tail end of the 2000s, but this is the first time I can properly imagine being alive in the late '90s

He reminds me of a cross between the awkwardness of David Byrne and naive creativity of Jonathan Richman

Most interesting no matter who you are , where you are or what language you speak, the think is the same. For artist always this questioning. A hope for something more and surprise (or is it relieve) when seeing it. We see it because we know it, what it looks like and what it doesn’t.

I like Caveh’s films. I first seen Caveh a while back in a film “i am a sex addict”. It was amazing just the way it displays reality.

The begining of this eerie music (especially from 0:45) reminds me of Krzysztof Penderecki "De Natura Sonoris N°2" (used in the Stanley Kubrick movie "The Shining"). It gives a chilling and haunting dimension to the music, and also to the opening of "There will be blood" (Paul Thomas Anderson, 2007). A bit like the "Rosemary's baby" OST by Krzysztof Komeda.

VERY definitely influenced by John Williams' score for "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". Ominous and eerie, yet beautiful.

interesting film. i honestly think this could be analyzed by psychologists. regarding like codependent relationships, and sibling dynamics. i really relate to that weird situation he was in. the younger kid seemed to have a lot of resentment and such a weird kind of outlook, like they were teaming up against him, moreso the son but the father being kinda complacent. also his friends were shitty in not letting him know they didn't actually take it (if thats true) bc damn youre just gonna sit there and let your friend kind of make a fool of himself thinking hes having an experience that he isn't lol @_@

18:00 sure, you're not going to do it through idealistic non-hierarchical orgs, but you're also not going to do it through 'confronting power' - Curtis himself has fallen into a naive and romantic notion that simply doesn't work in any significant way.
