The SFX could use a lot more meat on most weapons, but you've gotta appreciate how well done all of this is, especially the anims and visual FX. It's not a direct re-make of Renegade, but their own take on it and I respect that.

Ppl here complaining about how "the guns dont sound like the original!" Cannot, CANNOT, tell me, that the original sounds were in any way like...really good or ground breaking. You fire the laser rifle on full auto and tell me "yep this will never get old!" You're crazy. This is a fan remake, with a lot of sorely needed updates, Renegade is at the very least a dated game, and the new sounds seem just fine, they feel realistic and punchy. Granted it'd be nice to know what someone is shooting at you from sound alone but, not when it's sounding as obnoxious as the laser chain gun...

Old sounds are much better, new ones is not realistic and overall not fit big guns. People who made sound design probably never shoot. Minigun was so so, but new is just a joke, wtf is that?

So many idiots complaining about Renegade X 🤦‍♂️ Be thankful we even have Renegade X, also, their criticism IS DUMB AS FCK. "It doesn't look or sound like the original" The Obelisk of Light...The Mammoth Tank, The Music, aside from being made more Modern using Modern Software and Technology, IT IS A NEWER VERSION RENEGADE. Of course there'd be changes, even if miraculously EA didn't buy or did but but Westwood still continued to this day, Renegade WOULD LOOK AND SOUND LIKE RENEGADE X. Ugh. 🤦‍♂️ I'm speaking as both an old Fan of CnC, as well as someone who loves Renegade X. Like seriously, not many would play old Renegade, maybe the campaign and check out the multiplayer a little bit but it won't last. Renegade X is a new game that's done it's best to Modernize the Old, and not in a Bad Woke Political way as well. It reminds me of the new unreal engine version of the SCP containment breach game.

Yeah Renegade X looks to be only on the surface to be faithful. All the weapons look... like washed out versions of the actual game's. Like they're clearly modern equivalents but more... inspired from rather than actually faithful and dedicated to the game they originated from. All the classic, distinctive sound cues have been washed out and largely removed, and everything is more reminiscent of "modern shooter with C&C flavor" rather than "C&C Renegade faithful remake"

I love and appreciate the renegade X community, but the updated sound effects are weak af

The weapon sounds were actually louder, and much more detailed in the previous RenX versions, idk why they nerfed it in the later version. I even tried their Black Dawn singleplayer, the sounds in that game are much more louder then the current MP version.

I can already tell the shotgun in Renegade X is just a Spas-12.

The Hawkeye in Renegade X is nonsensical. It reloads as a tube magazine gun, in a gun without tube… They shove 5 rounds directly in the chamber… was it hard to just give it a magazine?

Animations,arguably better and more smooth,sounds ehhhh...bit of a downgrade,they sound a little weak,not as beefy as the original and honestly probably the worst part of these weapons,the sounds being a little weak sounding,even the ramjet sounds a little too weak

Thanks for doing these, boss! It's really hard to find good versions of these songs, and even yours were tough to find- but these are perfect, I'll probably come back here regularly to drop off a couple dozen more views on my faves while I'm writing. (this one's my #1 favorite tho) 👍

I do like the reworked animations in some weapons showing detail like the Hawkeye Ramjet's integral magazine but the operation feels *completely* wrong from an operational standpoint. It's treated as a straight-pull bolt-action but the bolt is on a spring that brings it back forward so wouldn't it just be more efficient to just have it be a recoil-operated bolt like the M82 platform? Unless of course the ramjet cartridges are so wildcat that the bolt is locked closed to prevent the casing from rupturing.
