It's a mold that measures out the correct portion of food and imprints the company logo.

Nice tip on the hand held heat press! Good to know as I havent tried using my branded tape like this from Sticker Mule yet!
@LindyDesignLab
@LindyDesignLab 9 күн бұрын
Yup just with the sticker mule tape I've noticed the printing is fragile, so you might want to set the heat press down section by section, rather than sliding it along, to avoid scuffing up the print design.

You can also use silicone for mold making. If some resin spill, it's an easyer way to clean it up. :3

That bearing looks like it would outlive the structure by 10000 years under load. I'm curious about the end design. What was it about?
@LindyDesignLab
@LindyDesignLab 20 күн бұрын
It's a dispenser for a heavy material spool, so the bearing had to have an inner diameter large enough to fit the spool shaft.

Why not just buy smaller ziploc bags? Or half that size half large? Wouldn't they cost less, and the customer gets a reasonable package instead of a one time one use plastic
@gomattcode
@gomattcode 22 күн бұрын
I'm not trying to be rude, just don't want people to waste money and plastics because you wanted to be trendy and get a few bucks of ad revenue.

By the way, the bubble wrap idea is genius. I am all for that one. It'll save on bubble wrap and look so much better than even when it's cut with scissors since it never cuts straight. I would upvote a short of just the bubble wrap idea. It solves a real problem, and there aren't really any other products/ideas that do that currently.

For small volume production, I find it's more economical to buy a couple bag sizes that work for everything rather than buying a new pack of bags to perfectly fit each project. Also, for items that are intended for food use or have small parts that can be lost, it's nice for the customer to receive a sealed bag.

Hi Lindy, could you make me a pair of carbon fiber steel gauntlets similar to these, with perhaps just a couple minor modifications to this design? I'd be willing to pay well for it. if interested please drop me your contact info so we can discuss it further, thanks!

Use just polyester primer to coat the mold surface. Also sand the mold surface before priming it.

A few years ago I watched a video by a channel I think called Story Greenlight, a pro film editor, explaining about putting cuts where your eye moves naturally from one scene to the next. So for example if your focus is on the top left at the end of a clip and the cut to the next clip the point of interest is also top left, it feels smooth. Something like that. So now I don't have to go by just what feels right, I know why it feels right which makes it easier to be intentional.

I know this sounds weird but, I have a 3D printer to be delivered in two days and while I have a bunch of simple around the house things I know I want to print (Planters, spice racks, controller stands) the idea of designing things, especially mechanical things is ultimately the end game of what I want to do. I find it simultaneously exciting and terrifying. Watching this, despite being simple and short, shows me someone in that world having success and showing what they learned and that reassures me to a high degree! Thank you 😊

You're going to love it. It seemed overwhelming at first but after a while just second nature. I'm about to dive into CNC milling for the first time and am hoping that will also seem easy after a while, but anything new is hard and frustrating at first.

Maybe worth exploring. The J-Tech palm rest raises your hand a bit, maybe sufficient to alleviate that other issue you're having with the height of your finger relative to the buttons. It also makes it easier for your thumb because you don't have to squeeze as hard, the light weight added by your wrist on the base helps steady it!. There is still some need for the thumb, but ever so lightly most of the time that its not an issue anymore. I have the same collection of devices, plus a few others like Lychee's pen mouse, the 3M ergonomic mouse and a few versions of the vertical solutions. I wish the webcam gaze trackers worked better. I want to check the hardware gaze trackers if they are any batter, That might be a topic for a further video ? Thanks

You would want to reference the specified cure time for whatever resin you use and leave it in for that long.

How are the 'quality of life' features on the X1? I'm blown away by my A1 from Bambu, SO MUCH better than my last printer! Thanks for sharing!
@LindyDesignLab
@LindyDesignLab Ай бұрын
The whole machine is top notch and no setup. Same with the P1S from what I've seen. The large touch screen interface on the X1C is nice, but if you're wirelessly sending prints from computer and monitoring on the app, the screen is not that important. There's a pretty lighted logo on the print head of the X1 lol. I guess the lidar is doing something? But I haven't done a direct comparison to evaluate. I had a print come unstuck from the bed (my fault) and was making spaghetti, but the fail print detection didn't catch it on the medium setting. So I don't yet know if that feature works, maybe on high sensitivity. But yeah, Bambu is such an upgrade, any of their lines.
