Hei man, I loved your movie, but please please, learn one think]g. Romans came and didn’t change the name it was the same Dacia, we were spoken Latin st that moment before Traian come to Dacia, we got our name under the king carol the I, and it comes from two big land in the south called Ro and Mania, and when they got together with everything it’s România. It’s not English or Italian, it’s Romanian România. Please I see this fake information more and more on internet and it has no connection with Italian or Roma. The fact the foreigners can’t pronounces that special a I can understand but don’t alterate our history.

I"m torn in my decision.. we are from California and we are visiting London for 1st time. 4 nights in July. We have a nice hotel in Notting Hill but CW seems so clean and safe which is priority for our kids. Tube works well and I think CW would work out just fine. Your thoughts?

@@oliverphillipss depends on who you ask. There is a lot of anti-Romanian sentiment in the western side of the EU. I don't blame many of them, when Ro entered the EU in 2007 a lot of our criminals flocked to the West in the look for opportunities. Let's say it is not a great first impression. Things have changed for the better tho, it will take years before Romania will fix it's international image we can thank our gypsies and criminals for that

"Hello" from Prince Edward Island, Canada. The way to pronounce the "province" of Newfoundland (like a local) is to down play the second syllable (don't pronounce it as "found" but almost as "fen" or "fin"), and put a little emphasis on the last syllable. Pronounce it "Newfen-land ".
@oliverphillipss5 ай бұрын
Ahh okay got you! Thanks for the confirmation 👍 I have visited St John’s a few years ago,!8 must’ve been pronouncing Newfoundland wrong back then too 😂

Nice video. i was there in December 2017 and agree with you that it was full of character with all the Christmas lighting and to me it seems like the best time to go there. Iceland was ruled by Denmark, not The UK, with true autonomy given in 1918. When Germany took over Denmark in 1940, The UK took over Iceland to keep Germany from landing there and controlling vital sea lanes. Shortly afterwards Iceland invited The US to take over from The UK so that British troops could be better used in The Second World War. The US occupied Iceland until after the war and do to this British and American influence, this may be one reason why everyone is quite fluent in English. Plus there was a large US Air Force base outside of Keflavik, about an hour east from Reykjavik. Iceland became an early member of NATO and is still a member of NATO. The country has a very high literacy rate with excellent schools.

Nice video! 🙂 The cod war was a big thing in Iceland and there are a lot of storys about it true or false but the true part Is that Iceland fought back. Iceland was under the Danish flag until 1945 when it got its independence. But anyways I really liked your video and keep up making good videos 👌🙂

Very timely video, I am planning to be in Reykjavik for new year eve!! Any idea, if it's possible to visit the recent volcano site ( the one that erupted on 18th Dec)? I am hoping to do a helicopter tour, but can't find any information if they tour the recent site. Most of them seem to list the site from early this year. TIA
@oliverphillipss6 ай бұрын
It’s very difficult to access by car as the main road is closed - you may be able to see it via a helicopter tour though. From what I could see all the traces were gone - you wouldn’t even know there was an eruption unless you went to visit specifically. Hope this helps!
@akshaypotdar18406 ай бұрын
@@oliverphillipss Thanks for a swift reply, much appreciated! I suppose there is no point pre-booking the helicopter tour for £500 odd if nothing much to see, will decide once arrived in Reykjavik.
