Anna Wing was such a transformative and convincing actress. For her real life persona was anything like Lou Beale. Away from the square Miss Wing was an elegant, sophisticated well spoken lady. Certainly takes you by surprise

Wow I didn't realise this bombshell came out so early in the series. They built up this storyline for years. It's the best storyline of the 1980s in my opinion, next to the Den & Angie stuff.

This is so 180% from US Soaps when they debut. On The Bold & The Beautiful in March 1987, Ridge Forrester is checking out the Latest Forrester Fashion Show 40 to be exact. One for Fall/Winter, one for Spring/Summer. A Hitchiker goes to Genoa City, WI., on Y & R. Now the Show is not only shown in Canada but The US and fans love it. Even US Icons from Snoop Dog to Whoopi Goldberg love the show.

This is the scene Tony Holland was discussing in the 1986 documentary “Just Another Day”. I remember him saying “Yes, after everything they discussed, he’s (Den) going to Jan’s. He IS a bastard”!

The actor who originally played Mark deserved to be remembered more for his principled stand than he is. I despair at the way that working class actors allow themselves to be used by the middle class liberal/left writers in today's soaps.

Fantastic writing and acting. When Eastenders was a realistic drama with great actors, scripts and believable storylines that the viewers could easily relate too.

Michelle's first time was with an older man and Mark's first time was with an older woman, not only that but she had two kids...interesting that they thought they had to do that to get independence and out of the Fowler home. I'm intrigued by Mark and the older Swedish woman dynamic. I wonder what their sex life was like? Why did she take on a 17 year old to be 'daddy'? So many interesting questions.
