That's a rad bass! I think a lot of import guitars are highly underrated. I still have my Epiphone Les Paul I bought at Outlaw music on Stephens Ave in Missoula. I've modded it since and made a homemade Indy rock album on it. You reminded me of home. Cheers from Raleigh, NC!

Nice! And I agree with you 100%. Apparently Fernandes made knockoff Les Paul’s under the name Burny that are supposed to be awesome as well. Cheers!

If you come across another 'cheapy' try taking the frets out to make it a fretless and see how it sounds. I did and I'm not going back to frets on a bass ever again!

That's a great find. What did you pay for it? To remove the knobs slide a piece of cloth under it and twist the cloth into a knot then use it to pull the knob off. The background music is a bit too loud.

Thanks for the advice on both. I paid $50 and $40 for strings, so I’m all in for $90. I was considering reselling it, but have already got too attached!

Nice! I bought a 1975 brand new in January of 1976. It’s black/maple. Still got. They were cheap back then. I this it was less than $350.00 out the door with a Fender hardshell case. Still got it. Fast forward to 1990, I found a 73 P natural/maple at local flea market. Pretty hammered but worth $325.00. Both of them are closet queens. I prefer playing my 1980 Mapleglo Rickenbacker. It was another remarkable deal. such a great sounding and easy to play bass.

Bought '71 Precision brand new and in '73 traded it for a 1959 Stratocaster and $400 cash up in Jacksonville ,fl. when I was touring , Had it appraised 5 years ago at $20,000 , I guess that was a good trade. Bought another Precision a few years back , It does not sound and feel like the '71.

@@aaronfullers1 Appreciate your getting back to me! I’ll probably get it and add it to my army of amps; my playing style doesn’t require a lot of firepower and while the Randall brand may not be one of the fancier brands they seem to be highly functional and reliable. Good luck in your search for the Commander🙂

Hi, I have a ST-903 and the tone arm is 3 degrees from perpendicular to the rail when the tone arm is at rest, so the starting position adjustment will not correct for this. Is there some way to adjust the tone arm so it is perpendicular to the rail?
@aaronfullers1
@aaronfullers1 5 ай бұрын
There’s not an obvious correction for this that I can remember, but there is a screw that you can tighten up at the base of the arm that might help correct it a bit?

Dude! I just bought one of these for $120. It was covered in old crappy stickers and grime. It came with the original footswitch, but the seller said it never worked. He inherited this amp from his grand father! I spent half a day cleaning it up, and using contact cleaner on all the pots and the footswitch. The footswitch came back to life. The noise from the pots went away. Most of the knobs had been changed out and were falling apart, but I replaced them all with nice aluminum ones. It still has the original Celestion speaker. It's incredibly loud! It sounds like a really tight tube amp.

I had one of these in the early 80’s.. I only play tube amps now, but at the time, this was the best sounding solid state amp you could get. It sounds even better if you take it easy on the reverb.

This amp was designed by Gary Sunda, who was actually a Fender employee, and was responsible for designing some of the early amps. Channel one on this amp is supposed to be the "fender" circuit, and channel two is the "marshall" tone stack. This is a killer amp. I have the head version, and it's probably the best sounding solid state head I've ever played. Check out: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sJ-iaKqU3dXbj2Q.html
