Interesting to have this played by a band rather than on a piano or organ.

Starting at 0:39, the bells have to rest for 32 measures. I know this because I had to count it all out for concert band.

Horns are the least of these problems. Some good playing, especially trumpets and flute. Clarinets and percussion struggled. Bassoon entrance too early and piece almost fell apart. It's a tough piece but worth the extra work. Performed this with McBeth conducting himself.

I would stress the ability of Dr. James Gourlay to express the melodies of this piece in a declamative way, both the tender, intimous parts and the heroic ones. He manages to make the tuba sing in its whole range extension.

Kudos to playing that last more quiet part... *BUT* ... it should've ended with that pianissimo Base drum/Piatti "dum tish".
