Boltaron and kydex have identical heat profiles. The two materials are damn near identical. The main difference is price depending on where you get it from. I’ve worked with both materials and both perform the same. That’s not your difference maker here. What sets y’all apart looks to be your leather and craftsmenship. Patiently awaiting mine.

Some people prefer to remove the retention snap with their thumb. Just personal preference, not right or wrong.
