Hey Patrick....what sizes are those? I think I just bought this exact same kit. Polar white Hybrid Maple?? Mine are 10-12-14-16-22. Best sounding kit I've ever had.

Are these all tuned by ear? If you used a drum dial what were your settings? Batter and reso the same? One higher of lower? Absolutely love this tom sound. Excellent!

What head is that on the main snare? Did you stop using response 2 on toms? Sounds killer

Well done video but frankly I wonder what kinda of utility all of these video-tests about drumheads, do have. I mean , every drummer knows perfectly that a head may sound differently by tuning , drumset and overall microphones. So, at the end of the day I think it would be more honest to put in the descriptions also those infos , because the heads themselves DO NOT make any of this sounds ! They just do emphatize the drum shells features , that can sounds differently - I think that's the only element to be considered - if the heads are manufactured with 1 or 2 ply , their different thickness , etc. Here they all sounds great but if mounted on crappy drumset, all of them will sounds differently if compared on a professional drumset . Thefore , at the end of the day , can you honestly say that these tests are giving a true help to choose one brand instead of another ? I choose the Deep Vintage II , after my ears listened directly on my all-maple DW drumset. I think that's the only real way to chose what you like , what you are looking for , what you like.

Servus Patrick. Hab mir in Vergleich dieses und das official Sabian-Video angeschaut. Dieses ist viel geiler gespielt und auch die Cymbal-Auswahl gefällt mir hier viel besser. Fantastic demo video. I switched to Aquarian back in 2010 after playing Remo since the mid 70's. Aquarian tick all the boxes, I would never even think of going back to Remo!

Nun, die Musik an sich gefällt mir weniger, aber... Sehr gutes Schlagzeugspiel, viel Abwechslung, alles gut kombiniert und toll gespielt. Der Sound ist sehr gut, obwohl ich kein Yamaha-Fan bin, meist komme ich damit nicht wirklich zurecht, hier passt er aber Hammer gut. Fazit: richtig geil. Danke für den Auftakt 2023!

I was a die hard Remo guy for many years. After several annoying issues with the quality and sound of their heads I made the switch to Aquarian. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. I’m currently running performance 2’s on toms and snare but you really can’t go wrong with any of their heads. They all sound great and it just depends on the type of sound you’re looking for. And you just can’t beat the super kick II.

I came to compare drum heads but you play so nice that it ended relaxing me. Undiscovered pleasure: Drum ASMR

Evans has always been my favourite snare head. As for the Toms, loving the sound of the performance 2.
