Did you noticed any power loss with the uel header? compared to the stock elh?

how’d you tune this? or no tune?
@GannonRacki6 ай бұрын
back in the day there was a super limited production run from a 3rd party tuning company of cobb accessports for 06-08 2.5i's. I just happened to find one 2nd hand (apparently less then 1000 were made) and had my tuner tune the car through the cobb software. Open source tuning is a much easier and accessible option for these cars these days

How did u get wrx headers to fit the NA exhaust? Don't the UEL wrx headers point upwards/above subframe towards the turbo while the EL NA 2.5i headers stay below the subframe?
@GannonRacki2 жыл бұрын
chop the headers where it turns up and weld a pipe in to connect to the rest of the exhaust.

Hey man I’m planning on doing unequal length headers on mine, I have the headers what else do I need, I’ve heard you need to replace the cat and extend the 02 sensors what is your set up. I know it’s years later lol so I get if there is no response

Yeah, it was the accessport. Sadly they only made the NA accessport for about a year through a 3rd party company, so chances of finding one is very slim.

@@reeeeeee9230 I was able to get my hands on a rare accessport and it has all the same capabilities as those softwares with access tuner. Back then access tuner was free too and a close friend of mine was a tuner and was willing to tune me free of charge through access tuner.

Lovely! I see Huck-it Media which is my good pal commented on this vid 3 years ago before he RWD converted his wrx. That was a BEAST of a car. Your videos obviously have a good influence on people with the idea of RWD swapping their subies. Reading through comments on this vid and how this one held up for 3 years without breaking an axle or diff is awesome and inspiring. @@jamesfernandez3243 all ej headers will bolt up to the motor (except for na 2.2), you just need to do some custom work to make the exhaust reach the headers. EJ headers will not bolt up to the newer FA/FB motors tho.

@@GannonRacki would you recommend it as a first car to learn to drift and learn mechanics on?
@GannonRacki3 жыл бұрын
@@RalliartDylan It was my first drift car (I'd owned a couple subarus before hand) and I honestly loved it. Its a great starter drift car because it has good ol toyota reliability, its cheap on expendables (gas, tires, etc), and its low power and torque so it teaches new drifters proper technique (no relying on flooring it to keep the car going). I've never gotten so much seat time out of a car. Only mods were exhaust and cheap coilovers and only maintenance I ever had to do were oil changes and ball joints. I sold it a few years back for a 2jzgte swapped is300, then sold that for my current s14 silvia comp car. I always look back and miss how simple and inexpensive it was to run the Altezza.

@@GannonRacki if I get used to the power and want more out of the BEAMS what can I do to spice it up a bit without rebuilds or engine swaps?
@GannonRacki3 жыл бұрын
@@RalliartDylan From what I've seen you wont get too much more power out of them without a rebuild or boost. Its a motor that makes over 100hp per L, they're pretty maxxed out as is. Full exhaust, intake and cams will net you a bit more. Turbo/supercharger seems the way to go for best bang for buck, but then the trans isn't that great for much more than 300-350lbft. You're best off enjoying it as is until you're ready to step up to a car thats capable of more power. Th most I've seen NA was 275whp, but that was a full high compression rebuild with ITB's, stand alone ecu, etc.
