Amazingly done! Absolutely! But next time, ease it on the Melodyne. It's very obvious when the vocals are that much in focus. It's really a shame because it sounds like keyboard inputs when every single bit of phrasing, cadence, and pitch is absolutely perfect. I'm not trying to take away from anything, but it's honestly really distracting.

@beans1697 Hmm. Not sure if I have anything specific, but if you LOVE yourself some bass, you could check out Geoff Castellucci. Or, if you prefer more of an angelic voice, there's this one lady that I can't remember the name of. Just look up stairwell siren here on YT, and you should find her. Hope that helps!

the below comment (Kizuna_Dragon) got me wanting the swapped cover version, cuz lord, while Biggs still sends chills over just how unfathomable his voice is (pun unintended) it would def give Calypso some depth (heh) into the viciousness she has the power to be, cuz we love to see a sea goddess winning and breaking hearts (or by proxy, having them carved out for her ahah)

awesome duet but i think you got it backwards, Davey jones is the one singing about love and regret and Calypso is the one singing about taking souls and living forever. just switch the parts and it would be perfect

@@Myriani yea because think about it Davey was the one lamenting that he "lost" Calypso, his heart ached for her so badly he cut it out of his own chest. the second verse is really Calypso singing to him, and all her false promises. So this song is the culmination of Davey Jones's memories and feelings, his heart weeps for a lost love but his hatred boils over for false promises he wanted to believe so badly. " Cruel and cold like winds on the sea" - thats Davey talking about Calypso because remember she said to him. "Many things you were Davy Jones. But never cruel" "Will you ever return to me?" that question is being asked by Davey, he didn't need to return, he was there, she wasnt.

This song was the song my and my ex girlfriend sang years ago. I left to get help with my depression and came back to learn that for the 5 years that we were together she was cheating for 2 of the years. This song will always bring tears to my eyes, as it brings back memories.
