A flip! The one good thing is that the new windows mimmic the look of the old crank out windows. Too bad that they did not keep the typical marble windowsills. The rest of it appears to be "flipper's delight with ideas from HGTV". What is so common with these older homes that in the 1960's besides adding an addition over the garage, it was very common to build a Florida room onto the back that unfortunately puts the kitchen in the middle of the house. Always makes for a dark and dreary kitchen. A major reason why the horrid but then popular fluorescent luminous ceilings were installed in so many kitchens in so many St. Petersburg homes. I feel that the "California style Modern Farmhouse" is completely incompatible with Florida aesthetic. It is really putting lipstick on an otherwise 1960s low slung Florida house.

This house was on the market yesterday… but not today?

Really, really nice. A wonderful place to live, on a near sea level piece of property. But in 2007, it sold for $2.5 million. So, if you wait a year, it will probably sell for half of what is asked, now that the inflated housing market is declining. It is a phenomenal house, well worth owning, but one west coast storm in this area and it will be a pile of debris, just like the property to the south of us and recently, the unfortunates on the east coast. So, over priced by half at the moment, but worth six million dollars plus, all day long. Get good insurance.
