Is there a difference between doing it this way compared to wicking water from top . Have you done this for longer than 3 weeks. I am going to need something that wicks for 3 months. Anybody have any ideas?

@@tingelinggarber does it have to wick from the bottom to work that long? It seem like when I wick from top it just keeps taking water from jar , even if soil is moist. Then plant gets too wet.

I don t think so the plant detimets how much water it want but we never tried with a big rope

Thanks. I connected the 2 positive terminals together. 2 negatives together for 30 seconds. And after this, the battery could charge again.

@Benny Vink - Hey, could ya tell me what kinda charger your using in the video here? Or recommend others that are similar? I no longer have the one I used to use, which was a nice unit that would not only recharge the AA & AAA batt's --But also would do the 9v & D batteries too.
