Be carful do not do it while the bike is hot will not fit , it will go in but will always get stuck mid way and no matter how hard you pull or push it won’t go anywhere . Let the bike cool down first 🫠

Are you sure the torque spec is 190 Nm on the nut which holds the Clutch basket? Isn´t it 120 Nm ?? If I get the manual right, then th 190 Nm is for the Primary Gear Drive.

@@user-re9uh4vh3c Ducabike calls it out as 190nm on page 3 of their directions. The oem manual may say something different for oem parts.

Lmfaooooo you made it look waaayyyy too easy. I just did this install. That cable should be air craft quality. Very snug fit. Ended up using 3/8 socket extensions to push it up through the bottom. This video should be in cartoon lol

I have a 2003 Ducati 749. The clutch was also really hard to pull. I use to keep a guitar finger strength training grip in my office to use during the day to try and increase my grip strength because it was so hard to pull my clutch lever in. Eventually I figured out to go to an aftermarket slave. Awesome.

I just got my 2018 959 today and ordered a quad lock a cycle gear we Here the guy told me that the one he put on order for me fits perfect no issues. If that’s not the case and I need this piece you’ve made is there anyway we can exchange info and maybe I can buy one from you.

That's a rough install, not to be copied. Use a seal condom and loosen fork cap in bike and not using grips!

It won’t because the 1098 doesn’t have a hole in the top cap like the panigale does.

I'm interesting in buying the stem mount adapter for a Panigale V4. A couple of questions, can you still use a headlift front stand if the stem mount adapter is installed? Also is the supplied string strong enough to pull the stem mount adapter up to the top of the fork stem without the issue of breaking/snapping the string?

Hi, yes to both. I use a pitbull headlight stand with no issues. Also the string is plenty strong, just make sure to make a big knot on it so it doesn’t pull through the install tool. Thanks

Still that brutal "kink" of the ltd seat frame. That's the toughest fix on that model. If it doesn't get straightened out it looks like you're riding in a seat crack!

Vinegar would work but will take a few hours probably. I put a rust remover in mine with a handful of plastic beads and shook it around to get the rust off before I sealed it. Do that after stripping the paint

To people attempting to reproduce this... the heater melted my lid so I bought a fully submersible version. Don't use the brush on version of FlexSeal. It's messy and very difficult to apply uniformly. The spray version is much easier to apply consistently. These cheapo washers are very prone to rusting and the FlexSeal does a good job of retarding inevitable rust.

Impressed over your work. I’m building a scrambler on a similar bike at the moment. Earlier I build one for my wife on a z550. What did you do with the carburetors? Different jetting and needles or what did you need to do to have it working with the pod filters?

My 440 quits at random. Loses spark. Replaced ALL ignition parts (electronic) and even bypassed the ignition and kill switches but still it quits. Going to take it to the river to see if it will float. If it does I'll make raft out of it.

Hi RDG, I recently bought your installation kit for my Panigale V2 Bayliss and now the adaptor is stuck midway. Please suggest how to pull it up, as the string is not able to pull the adaptor anymore. Your help is much appreciated

Interesting, what year is your bike? First make sure you’re tieing a really big knot on the string so that it doesn’t pull through install tool. If that doesn’t work, you can push the adaptor back out from the top using a long screw driver or similar, and when it’s out you can lightly squeeze the adaptor in your hands so the gap on the side closes a little bit. This should make it easier to reinstall. Let me know if that works
