Steve "the voice" Perry is my favorite all time male vocalist check out Mother Father live in Houston and Wheel in the Sky live in Osaka the vocal acrobatics are incredible. My favorite of thiers however is Open Arms. Journey was one of the few bands that actually sounds better live than studio ❤❤❤ Steve Perry left the band in 1998 for me Journey is not Journey without him.

Stumbled across this in my recommendations. Weve seen them twice now and being in a huge crowd experiencing this performance and all the pyrotechnics is quite a thing to behold. There's some really good videos showcasing how it's all put together, not least the incredible light bands! Awesome, could see you were a bit overwhelmed at points and for good reason 😁

this song should always have the lyrics in the video. they are just too important to be misunderstood.

1987→ You didn't notice that this was Johnny Logan's second victory-the first was in 1980. He was the first (and until 2023 the only) performer who won twice (+ a 3rd time as a songwriter in 1992). He isn't called "Mr Eurovision" for nothing! 1988→ How could you miss Celine Dion? OK, you didn't notice the name...There's a lot of information on the screen, it's understandable. But her face? And (especially) her VOICE?! How can you not recognise that voice?! How can anyone who's into music in the last 3+ decades not recognise THAT VOICE?! The woman is a living legend!!! 1990→ The song is titled "Together:1992" Although I've done zero research on the lyrics, my first guess is that it's refering to the European Community's (today EU) goal to establish a single market within the Community by the end of 1992. 1992 was considered the year when the member states would become "one" in a sense and its coming was highly anticipated the years before.

I finally got to see Coldplay live at the beginning of June and yes, this is how the concert is every time with fireworks and all and the energy is always so fantastic, it's brilliant the way they use the lights, on this song especially(we, the public, are essentially stars and make up the sky full of stars) but also on other songs, to create extra feeling according to the song playing and make the audience feel included. Loved it, would pay to go again

Jimi was ten blocks up the street from all other musical artists in the day. Even to this very day NOBODY HAS COME CLOSE TO HIS GENIUS. And how do I know? I was there in the day. I was at Regents Polytechnic when Jimi plugged into Jack Bruce's bass amplifier to play a rendition of Howlin' Wolfs Killing Floor. I was an attendee at many Experience gigs. Over rated? Jimi was the real McCoy. He was the most original and wonderful artist. His death was the greatest musical loss of an entire generation. Not to forget his wonderful support too of Mitch Mitchell (drums) and Noel Redding (bass). All in Heaven right now playing to the Angels.

Freddie had a throat infection that day and was told not to sing, but Freddie would never back out. He only drank tea and honey on stage that day..one sip. If you paid attention Brian played three guitars for Crazy Little Things Called love. Autistic, Fender, and his red special. Queen wasn’t on the original list of artists so the crowd wasn’t a Queen crowd but, as you see every audience is a Queen audience. This was broadcast all over the world 1.9 billion people watched Live Aid. This included 72,000 at Wembley Stadium in London and 89,000 at John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia. This is considered to be the best live concert in rock n roll history. Queen stoled the show that day. You watched a bad version of the concert with the end cut short. Well I have gone on long enough. TY for the reaction.

"That sound" is NOT "an early synthesizer" - it is the lead player making the sound of the Free bird on his guitar. YOU HAVE to REMEMBER - this song is about a man being with someone he loves, but feeling like a caged bird. He has to fly away, because he can't change who he is. The entire guitar piece at the end IS THE BIRD, FLYING AWAY, FREE. If you forget that, you've lost the entire thread of the song. It lifts off, flying faster and faster, until it begins to soar - and that is the rhythm change toward the end.

To be fair a lot of the heavy songs like this that are hard to sing in a row at so many nights are lipsynced partially or fully by Chris. The Songs that are always at least partial live in terms of vocals are: The Scientist, B Stage Performances, Sparks, Fix You (beginning), Yellow (partially sometimes fully) (A Sky Full of Stars is also partially live. The High parts are rarely live) its a little different for every night. Clocks for example is not sung live by him. Its kind of sad but understandable because its hard to do so many shows in a row and Chris is turning 50. BUT the shows still are superb.

I jumped to the point where this dude said "there is some good music now most of it is trash" for a moment I thought he ment this master piece of a performance.... Ergo context matters, im lucky I did check the moment before his comment (him talking about today's music compared to back then) That prevented me from writing a nasty response pffff

Great reaction! Thanks! [EDIT: see comments] Mark Knopfler is my one of my top favourite songwriters. This really happened when he walked into a pub to shelter for the rain (same goes for Money for Nothing. Check that story and remember the time period back then with the real MTV). IMO Knopfler is the very best guitarist ever for many reasons. And this performance is one of the (In my oppinion) three greatest all time (Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb @Pulse 1994 live,. The live version of Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil from the "get yer ya ya's out" album - 3 minutes insane solo by Keith Richards and Mick Taylor. And this one). I don't know about the audience . May be some vips in front and plebs in the back? , but Terry Williams (drums) had his dad for the first time there at a live show. So, he wanted to impress him, and well, he did. He started uptempo (compaired to the studio version, which is good indeed, but this performance was insane) and Mark Knopfler has no difficulty at all by picking up some extra tempo, improvising 70% of the solos, using his strat as a Banjo, Timing is SPOT ON, Not a single miss on a clear strat, and even then it just looks like he is doing his groceries on an Saturday with all the time in the world. Terry is a freacking monster there at the drums, absolutely killing it. But Mark Knopfler is just scary.... It didn't even looked like he needed to put in some effort. I think he only showed 50% of his capabilities there.... EPIC Performance
