HA HA, YOU THINK THAT WAS LOUD, I HAD MY CBX ALL TRICKED OUT. I HAD SIX STRAIGHT PIPES, RUNNING NITROMETHANE WITH A 10 SECOND NITROUS OXIDE BURN ON TOP END. FLAMES WOULD SHOOT OUT OF THE PIPES THREE FEET LONG. YOU COULD HEAR ME FOR MANY MILES RUNNING UP AND DOWN THE EXPRESSWAYS.

Unless they seriously re-worked the crank and certainly some very special rods, I really doubt it revs to 18K. Very reliable in road trim, but the rods were known to not hold up to much higher revs. Also, why rev it like that when warming up? They think they should do it because that's how the 250 6 was warmed up? They are misunderstanding the reasons. That 250 racer had no oil pump and would seize if not revved sufficiently to splash oil everywhere it was required. Hence it was warmed up between 10 and 12K rpm - painful to the ears if too close. How do I know? I used to work for Honda and had to practice how to start the 250.

Yeah, big numbers, 20.000 rpm, 170.000 hp and so on but besides of "wankie, wankie, wankie" have you raced it against some others bikes?, is it recorded? or just bla, bla, bla?

Any performance figures ? b.h.p , torque ? they start at 105 b.h.p (engine) I had one for 3 years , great fun !! and it was reliable ,used to rev to 11500 rpm !

various reasons, mostly its to get the engine upto running temps, sometimes the pilot jet isn't always larger enough to get the rpms up to the right amount to idle correctly, or maybe the flywheel has been lightened and needs a bit of help to keep spinning fast enough...
