The amber beacon is used whenever the vehicle is on airport property. Whenever the air traffic controller is looking on the ground he or she can see the vehicle driving around. All airport vehicles have the orange beacons. The blue beacon is used in low visibility. When it's very foggy or rainy that blue beacon can be seen
